NFL: ***2020 NFL Draft Thread***

Adams is still available, a tackle with 2nd round value. Obviously something going on with him though I guess.

He had bad combine times and evidently his interviews/attitude was even worse.

I believe this draft is mostly the last Rhoads class and first Campbell class (those that didn't redshirt). Hopefully we start to see a consistent trend of guys starting to get drafted next year cause this **** is depressing.

I know we have quite a few players returning but still telling that not 1 guy drafted from ISU.

Couple things about the Packer's draft. After the initial shock I've started to warm up a bit.

The TE in the 3rd is under 6'3 actually lined up in the backfield and was handed the ball. So he fills a need after losing our Fullback and can be a major contributor in the passing game. Lewis is back as a traditional hand on the ground TE and Tonyan and the A&M kid that was hurt most of the year should more than replace our overpriced departure.

Three OL in the 6th. I'd say Lane Taylor gets cut very soon. Which frees up some UFA money. Maybe the have a low cost slot in mind.

I saw a tweet from a recruiting guy that heard from multiple GMs they were obviously evolving to a more run oriented scheme. That's going to only help AL, man up press corners w/ extra bodies in the box. Would love to see Jones sign on and get a shot as a true slot.

Starters at WR appear now to be Adams, Fuentes and AL. They have speed off the bench with MVS and St Brown. I think St Brown might be the break out guy this year as he looked strong before his injury last fall.

At least ISU has a few players as undrafted free agents:
Wirtel to the Lions
Knipfel to the Bengals
Lima to the Dolphins
Good-Jones to Philly. Spears to the Bengals.

Deshaunte Jones and Jamhal Johnson should get picked up at some point. Johnson's dad was a TE coach for the Jets. Not sure if he still is or if he is coaching in the NFL still, but that has to help Jamahl get signed I would think.

Would be curious to see how many P5 teams didnt have someone drafted
First time since 1993 K State didn't have someone drafted.

Also saw a tweet that for the first time since 2008 Oklahoma State didn't have someone drafted either. They have most of their guys coming back next season though.

Also a Packers fan, I'm still just totally confused by the Packers draft.

You look at it overall, and all you can think is that they are planning on going to a power running game offense. If that's the case, then it's probably a "B-" draft instead of a "D" draft.

I'm not totally against going to a power running game, but it doesn't exactly take advantage of having one of the best passing QB's to ever play the game. And say what you will, but drafting a QB in round one does in fact tell Rodgers that the "plan" consists of only having him for 2-3 years. Maybe Rodgers is okay with that?

I'm getting the feeling that Rodgers has kinda worn out his welcome amongst his teammates and the front office. It's been pretty well known he isn't the greatest teammate, and isn't very coachable either.

So maybe the plan is already moving beyond the Rodgers era and going to a power running game with Love running the show?
