You still on this?

No I watch it occasionally but profits turned negative in a hurry. Not sure why but the public is adopting the printers yet. Perhaps still too complicated for the average person.

Haven’t looked at it yet, but why does it seem to be at a good price? Elaborate on the why you would buy it at this price point. What are the pros and what are the possible issues with this pick?

The majority of the info I have read has been positive. There are crazy thoughts is it could be the next Amazon. I read an article that said if the price is around 95-100, it is a definite buy. I am just too indecisive when it comes to individual stocks-that is the biggest problem lol. I am a big Dave Ramsey fan and he preaches mutual funds, which adds to my indecision.

I love me some Dave, but I think if you want to throw 5-10% of your investments into some single stocks/flyers, you should do it. There are far worse hobbies out there.

...unless it's Under Armour and you're an idiot.

Saw my 401k is up 20+% on the year just with my index funds. I put zero thought into it haven't stressed about it, didn't have to listen to Chris gush about UA, and am now not freaking out like fullmonte.

#boglehead

Don’t forget to sell.

I bought 150 shares of under armor at about $11.70 price point. I do think with time, maybe several years, it will be a good buy. I like their products anyway. Although I said that several years ago when I put about $5,000 into OIL. I'm in the green but barely, still waiting on oil to jump some more so I can get out with a little profit. I am a Dave fan too and invest mostly in mutual funds but enjoy a little gamble occasionally.

I just rebalanced for Q1 of 2018. With kids it's harder to throw cash into the account so almost all of my gains have come from the market increase and not by purchasing more shares.

2017 Totals:
Non-retirement account up 8.3%
Retirement account up 10.3%
I started a new 401k at work and that's up 20.5% - I still don't know how that can be so much higher than my existing accounts.

My non-retirement was hampered by INO which lost 35% this year.

Canadian weed stocks. Several are up over 200% in the last month so might be kind of late to get in. I got lucky in jumped in last spring.

i bought a bunch of weed stocks last year and cashed out after about 2 months - made a few $k and then they crashed. I'd suggest getting our of them and going into something more diversified like XXII

My 401k is up 19%, which is amazing considering that 25% of it is pretty much sitting on the sidelines. My big winners were

S&P 500 22.48%
MidCap 26.08%
International emerging Markets 40.75%

Thank god I don't mess a lot with my or my wifes IRA because the one account that I do mess with performed the worst.

Canada is legalizing weed for recreational use in July. It will probably continue to go up for a few more months.

I think this is the first year where our retirement accounts will go up more than what we we'll earn in a year.

I've always thought it would be cool to quit my job when my returns match my salary.

I don't know how old you are, but we're a long ways away from growth = salary. :(

everywhere is basically legalizing weed yet for some reason the feds are moving in the opposite direction. i'm not a user but i think it should be legal and taxed. i have this odd sense we're going to start going back and forth on a lot of policies depending on who is presidents. that's no way to govern.

In in my 40's but it really took a special year to make it happen. Nearly 20 % return on retirement investments. Our combined income is probably pretty low compared to most people who have a sizeable retirement and we started early and had no kids.
