If there was a 16 team playoff where the 10 conference champs get a bid and then the next 6 highest rated teams get at large bids, Iowa state gets in with one team behind them (Indiana) and the seeding is probably the #10 from the committee.
We'd be looking at a first round game with Florida...tough draw but it'd be pretty fun.
I favor an 8 team playoff with 5 P5 champs, highest Gof5 champ and two at large (which we'd have missed with only Florida and Georgia missing in front of us), but this might have been the only year of the modern era we'd be safely in a 16 team playoff no matter how you designed it.
