#12 Red Raiders vs #2 Blue Devils

I find it funny looking back at all the people that wondered if Duke was going undefeated this year. I’m not even convinced they win the ACC

Duke not getting Duke calls. Some very professional flops tonight by TT.

Tech is getting the Duke that most people won't see all year. They can't shoot tonight and their best player fouled out on a bad call. Yet will still probably win. Duke looks just plain scary when they're on.

I think Tech is very much responsible for Duke's poor shooting. They seem to always be in proper defensive position.

I'm sure it's part of it, but from what I've seen its been Duke just missing open looks.

Tech isn't that good. I haven't seen em make a FG since I started watching with 5mins left.

Not watching the game, just following on the thread, but without any empirical data I'd guess that good defense can get in a young team's head, hurt their confidence and cause poor shooting. I know the data says that 3-pt shooting percentage is random, but it IS 90% skill, comfort, and confidence, and how do players get confident and comfortable?

How the hell is Tech so good defensively?
Tech is playing a very disciplined pack line-style defense and really taking away any easy Duke 2s. They seemed to always be in position to take charges too. Annoying, but effective. Duke is not a good 3 pt shooting team. Tech seemed pretty deliberate in who they were daring to shoot 3s (Williamson being one of them). Tech is not a world beater defensively, and offensively they have a lot to be desired. It seems if you can shoot 3s and limit turnovers you have a very solid chance as challenging TTU.
