    Since 1985, I have attended every ISU MBB game in the NCAA Tournament. Boston is my next destination! Flights and hotel covered with frequent traveler rewards. Go Cyclones!

    Last April, I booked one Omaha hotel room but 6-weeks ago I reserved another one in Old Market District that is closer to the arena. Eleven days ago, I bought my game ticket. I’ve been to every NCAA MBB Tournament game the ISU men have played since 1985.

    This should be called the Cyclones Pod System. It came about after the selection committee messed up in 2001. They sent Iowa State as a 2-seed to Boise but we could have been sent to KC instead where not all tickets had been sold.

    Because I was obnoxiously cheering for the Bearcats in T-Mobile tonight, a KU mom two rows in front of me encouraged her son to move away from me. Another KU fan in front of me didn’t understand why I was cheering against them. Poor KU.

    I bit the bullet and this morning bought an all-session ticket in Omaha. That ticket for 6 games cost just a little more than my Big12 Tournament ticket for 11 games.

    Coach K mentioned it on the interview. In 1980, ISU interviewed him before Duke’s interview. I believe that we had not offered him the job before he flew to Durham.
