    I know in basketball Newton would only play the big schools 1 time per season, citing they are at a disadvantage compared to Norwalk, Indianola, and DCG. I think Pella Christian was the same way.

    When Urbandale didn't join you could see that the conference was screwed. Like you said, the 3 big schools should just bite the bullet after DCG leaves, cause they will.

    Yeah... I'm not sure why either... I know a lot of the MStM kids played a ton of USSSA baseball. I think that helps a ton compared to some of the schools farther away from metro that don't do a lot of travel tourneys.

    I might end up driving to Knoxville for this game. I've seen MStM a few times this year. They just destroy teams. I can see why they are changing conferences.

    True on football... We are already in the 5a for football and yes conferences don't matter since it is districts. Just pointing out the top end schools which are in the CIML conference for other sports spanked us. We are classified 4a for the other main sports. I can't speak for soccer...

    My son is a freshman at Norwalk... We played Waukee NW, Ankeny, SEP and got boat raced in each game. We had half the kids on the sideline that those schools had. We had only 1 kid play up in varsity, the rest stayed freshman. We are no where near ready in football to compete with the CIML...

    Great commercial.... Reminds me of my son on giving Tuesday a couple weeks ago. We volunteered at Center Iowa Shelter and Services, because of Iowa Pork and Fareway. My son left wanting to help again this holiday season and do more. Proud moment. Great message and commercial.

    I think the first play of him twisting the leg after the tackle warranted a flag more that the next play. I'm surprised the refs didn't have a word with him about it at least. I've seen a few times this season that a ref will grab a player quick and say knock it off.

    As of today 11/10, TJ is sitting at 97 win and 45 loses at Iowa State, just 3 wins away from reaching the 100 wins mark. Fred reached 100 with a 100-48 record. With the remaining schedule we have the next couple of weeks, does TJ beat the mark set by Fred? Remaining schedule 11/10...

    Hmmmmm.... So Saturday will probably be one of those "rake your yard" Saturdays where you can get things done and not pay attention to the game.... Awesome, was hoping we were past that part of our history.
