    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

It's not up to you, it's up to Fox. If Fox tells the Big 10 Presidents to do it, they'll do it. If they don't, they won't. It's that simple.

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

If it makes them money, they'll do it. It's not like the Big 12 schools that they've had multiple chances to take, the ACC schools haven't been available since right after they took Maryland.

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

It won't really fix anything, it would just keep it from getting worse. That's how I see it. If the SEC and Big 10 are capped at 19, it keeps the Big 12 and ACC at least allowed in the game instead of a formal breakaway that takes, say 48 teams and separates ISU from every school we've ever...

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

The numbers are already stupid from a competition standpoint. As I stated earlier, if this is part of negotiation it likely means that there are only a few schools outside of those conferences that those conferences want, and that cap locks them into maximum profitability, which the TV networks...

I think a mutually agreed to shuffle would be acceptable, and your proposal makes a ton of sense.

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

I guarantee that there isn't a single ACC school on my list that would balk at that.

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

I read Dellenger's tweet as the 19 team cap being a concession to get them to support it, indicating they are fine being capped at that number. If they're fine being capped at that number, it's because there are only that many programs that can increase their media deal and their bosses...

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

If it's capped at 19, the Big 10 only has room for one. Assuming Notre Dame Stays Independent, I'd say it's UVA to the Big 10 and Miami, FSU, and UNC to the SEC.

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

My guess is that ESPN and Fox are telling them that there are only 4-5 schools (1 to the Big 10 and 3 to the SEC) that will add value for all members, so they probably don't actually want to go beyond that. Those schools are likely: Notre Dame, Miami, Florida State, North Carolina, and either...

    ***2026-27 College Football (non-ISU) Thread***

We really need to stop talking about the Big 10 like it's some kind of monolith. It has 3-4 of the most well resourced programs in the country, and the best coach in the country (who also has a ton of resources). Outside of that, it's a bunch of mediocrity being subsidized by the generosity of...

Uniform Sponsor Patch - Iowa State

Yeah, I had forgotten about that. When I go grocery shopping in LaCrosse, I go specifically because I DON'T want to go to HyVee.

And the only way they are going to be in the ACC in 5 years is if there is a freeze on conference realignment due to Congress, which would prevent any Big 12 schools from leaving. With those brands gone, the Big 12 is considerably ahead of the ACC.

They grow when they can make more money for their members. Utah doesn’t do that, apparently.
  14. Al_4_State

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

Exactly. Tech and Utah wouldn't be in the Big 12 today if the Big 10 or SEC wanted them. They would have just taken them in '23 (or earlier).

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

And the Big 12 isn't adding Oregon State and Boise. If we were, it would have happened in 2023. I don't want those schools left out, I'm just saying that the opportunity has been there and we didn't take it, and nothing's changed.

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

I guarantee that nothing in this post is going to happen, other than a potential Big 12/ACC merger after the Big 10 and SEC raid the ACC's brands.

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

Because it's a complete and total nothing burger. A) they won't make more money. B) no other power conference wants to deal with their bullsh*t.

    Ashley Okland Murder

There are actually some extremely competent prosecutors in the AG's office. I would love to hear what they think of their boss.

    KXNO Sports Fanatics

I actually like listening to other school's announcers on Varsity. Always funny to hear their ads too - good way to learn about a place. K-State runs almost all the same ads we do, outside of local businesses. Okie State is rocking a good 50% of ours.

I don't like it, I don't think it's cool, but what else are we gonna do? We legit have no option.
