This is the last year of Niang’s contract. Utah may very well be a better situation for him.

Looked up Georges' career stats and realized he has the same average points per game in the NBA as Jeff Grayer. Good. I hate the Celtics. Would have been tough cheering for Georges with them especially with what some of their fans were saying after the trade

Yeah I never understood that. I know that there was the one “incident” with their team, but he’s from there. I thought those fans would come around rather than keep holding the grudge. Plus, he’s fairly inexpensive as role players go.

Seems like a lot of our guys end up going through Utah, Indiana or Denver at some point.

Figured he'd be a salary dump at some point for Boston, didn't think it would be before the season even started. Always forget about trade exception tricks.

It's not that crazy to think that being in his contract year, he could get dealt again before next summer. Utah is rebuilding, they could easily take the bad end of a salary dump for picks or a young player with multiple years.
