The Las Vegas NBA Summer League tips off today with six former Cyclones on rosters. Here's an Iowa State fan's guide to the Summer League.

I feel like Jones is going to be the most crucial summer league we've had for a player in a long time in terms of earning a chance to stick or at least a cup of coffee.

If he lights it up shooting with the #s he put up last year and decent length/defense for his position I think he can get a real look.

For as much as Jamal Murray gets injured, CuJo has a great opportunity to get minutes down the line

I know they have other guys in his role they're looking at, but this is my thought too. If their injury history is consistent and he gets a 2 way, he'll get his shot.

If he does get to play with Joker, he'll get good looks.

Thanks Jake. That is super interesting and helpful. I was just wondering, which teams I should be watching.

With about 1:30 left in the game Hason Ward has 10 pts (5-6), 4 rebounds (1 offensive), 3 assists, 1 turnover and 4 fouls in 14 minutes of playing time.

not bad, he always had athletic upside

Looks like Enaruna had a decent game today for Cleveland. I thought he had so much potential when here.

Curtis Jones with an 8 point third quarter to bring the Nuggets back to tie the Bucks at the end of three. Drained a couple 3s.

From play by play seems like his first half minutes weren't that effective but he was lighting it up in third.

Interesting that the Nuggets are playing Curtis Jones at PG primary in the two games I have watched. He had 10 points tonight but their summer league team would benefit from getting him more shots. They haves some chuckers.

Agree. He doesn’t have the handle to be a PG. If you pressure him, he looks silly

He definitely needs to improve his handles if that is his future. I’ve been impressed with his court vision and his pace, but it seems he would be a much better SG. He got a lot of playing time in key moments yesterday. That has to be encouraging.

Is Solomon Young getting any minutes for Phoenix? I had that game on in the background yesterday and I don't think I ever saw him in the game.

I think PG is his position in the NBA if he's going to stick as anything other than a sniper off the bench.
