So much for the Big XII being down

Who said the B12 was down? We have the best league and have for years.

Two things can be true at the same time. The big 12 might be down a little bit from the lofty standard it set last year but it's still head and shoulders above everyone else

That's the thing, that's what the big 10 shills were saying last month on espn, and it is in no way true. Where is it not just as strong as last 5 years if not stronger. Top end - check. Middle - check. Top to bottom - check.

Looks like the interesting officiating has started for Kansas games as they got away with a foul at the end of the game.

Maybe not another NC team this year but bottom half of big 12 is ridiculously better than bottom half of other leagues. I’m guessing bottom half of big 12 grades out as higher than top half of some other major conferences.

If our last place team gets to 5/6 wins entire league should get in dance. ISU and TCU were seriously underseeded last year but I don’t mind since it worked out great for us.

I guess I don’t understand who said the big 12 was down

Mostly because Baylor hadn’t looked like Baylor of last 10 years. People thought they were over it but guessing our game against them puts them back on that general thought.

Down if they are talking WBB. Only 4 Big 12 teams in the Top 40 by NET. After those four it drops like a rock.

Talking heads saying the Big Ten is good must also be talking WBB. Big Ten IS looking good in WBB.

Gopher MBB is so bad it's spurring serious talk here that St. Thomas, only third year from jumping to Div I from Div III, would beat them.

We all know the Big 10 will still get 9 teams in too.
I'll say 6 or 7 this year, the conference is really down and they don't have alot of non-conference wins.

Purdue, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Illinois are probably locks, then I think they get a couple more from who knows where.

Chris Williams. Not so much "down", overall; but more like "the top isn't quite as good". Fewer Final 4/National Championship caliber teams this year compared the recent years.

At least I think I remember him saying something like that. And I would agree -- especially with Beard likely gone.

This is where I'm at. The league is obviously really good and by far the best league. I think the top teams in the league aren't quite as strong as the last couple years BUT the bottom half is actually better. Which is why right now basically everyone is projected to win like 7-9 league games
