Blake Peterson Enters Transfer Portal

Played in all games. 9 total tackles. Makes some sense. Sorry to see him go.

Help me make this make sense. With so few games to go... why now? How does it help him? Hasn't he passed the minimum number of games to play in the season (which I thought was 4) to waive this one off and have that extra season elsewhere?

I was excited about him coming out of HS. Wonder if he’ll transfer home to play for SDSU

So does this mean that he has left the team? Or can he finish the season? I don't like the dynamic of a mid-season announcement, but that it where we have come to.
I always wonder this too...unless by entering the portal now, he can get in with a new team for January/spring ball?

I would assume still on the team and doing the day to day stuff, but just decided to not be part of the program past the season.

Getting ahead of the game. Finite amount of good spots to get in to.

I initially liked the transfer because you can never have enough bodies on the DL. I figured he could provide us some depth. I never imagined he'd be this good though. Eli Rasheed is a god damned magician.
We need to do whatever it takes to keep Rasheed. I don't care if that means we make him HC one day. That team would maul people.

If we have learned one thing it's to trust the Cyclones defense. A few months ago we were panicking about the transfer of a bunch of DBs. Then the guys that were left showed they were studs and maybe the transfers knew something and wanted better guaranteed PT.

Blake Peterson is a good player and would be a solid contributor if he stays.

Could be a win-win. He goes to a place where he gets more PT and our young studs get to showcase their talents on one of the best defenses in the nation.

I’m glad you brought up the secondary, none of those guys that left are better than what we have except possibly McDonald
