Twister Sisters come in at #8 in AP preseason poll

I think this is last year's final poll - do not think the new coach's poll is out yet.
That explains why Iowa was ranked so low. Here's the new AP poll:

Here we go...and I was enjoying seeing Iowa ranked so far down...darn it. Amazing how they are a two trick pony and get ranked so high....

Interesting to see Baylor down there a ways...and Texas at #3? Hmmm...I thought they lost a lot after last year...curious...

Other than Soares anyone else new to the roster that should really help us this season?

The only other new player is freshman PG Shantavia Dawkins, who might earn some pt behind Ryan. But as VeloClone pointed out above, Denae Fritz is essentially new given her injury last season after three games, and she'll compete for the starting spot not occupied by Joens/Ryan/Donarski/post.

not new but getting Fritz back (hopefully she can stay healthy this year) will be huge. She was playing really well up until her injury

Media day comments on Fritz.

She’s now healthy and ready to contribute again. Fennelly said Fritz has made massive strides and could be in the starting lineup.

“She’s going to impact our team dramatically,” Fennelly said.

How much more help do we need? What did the Hoks add to Caitlin and her pushing off to get open, to make them a top 5 team? That's more intriguing to me.
This was my thoughts exactly. Honestly thought we would be/should be flip-flopped with Iowa.

If everyone stays healthy we should have a lot more depth than last year. It will be interesting to see how Bill manages that depth. I think Ash, Lex, and Emily could benefit from some occasional breaks.
