In response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from a government transparency site called The Black Vault, the Navy said that any public dissemination of new UFO videos “will harm national security as it may provide adversaries valuable information regarding Department of Defense/Navy operations, vulnerabilities, and/or capabilities. No portions of the videos can be segregated for release.”

I guess my assumption has basically always been there are aliens and ufos and they have the technology to find us which means they're permitting us to live. Not much use in being worried about it.

There was a time about 15 years ago I ran into an old codger who was a retired Air Force engineer. (Shoot, he may have pre-dated the Air Force, but a military engineer anyhow)

He told this story, paraphrased:

"Back in the 50'd or 60's, we were experimenting with a flying disc -- kind of like a plane with no wings. My job was to run the controller, which was a lot like a modern video game joystick. I went up in one with a test pilot. We ran our tests, and when we were done, he asked if I wanted to fly over the nearby town just for fun. We did, and the next day the newspaper said "UFO sighted in town". ..."

I wonder if 99% of UFO sightings are just experimental military craft that never make it to production?

And thus created the need for “grays” to be carried on board in the event of an emergency evacuation/crash landing?

Not a threat to Democracy. Or maybe the threat is so gradual and incremental that we do not notice the paradigm slouch?
Aliens are reading these boards.

Could be this: https://www.sandboxx.us/blog/vz-9-avrocar-the-air-forces-flying-saucer-came-from-canada/. Though it was never able to fly more than a few feet off the ground.

Probably not. The things that really catch our attention are the crafts turning at 90 degree angles and seemingly unaffected by air pressure or g forces.

According to his description, no. It was flying high and fast.

To clarify, I only met this guy once ever. While people I knew vouched for his background (he really was a military engineer or something similar), I didn't know him.

So, either:
1) This was an experimental aircraft the general public to date has not been allowed to know about, or
2) He's full of it.

I'll never know which.

Could be both. Obfuscation is número uno.
