Pro Football Focus released its All-Big 12 team this morning so I figured I'd post Iowa State's selections here.

First-team: Charlie Kolar (TE), Mike Rose (LB)

Second-team: Breece Hall (RB), Deshaunte Jones (WR)

Third-team: Brock Purdy (QB), Chase Allen (TE), Josh Knipfel (OG), Kene Nwangwu (KR)

Honorable Mention: Tarique Milton (WR), Bryce Meeker (OT), Marcel Spears (LB), Anthony Johnson (Flex)

Kolar was also named an All-American by the site yesterday. The Big 12 will announce its official awards this week.

No DL even got as much as a HM. We do rotate quite a bit so maybe that hurt them a little. Also notable is Brewer over Purdy which I don't think is unreasonable by any means.

I was shocked none of our DL made the list. Interesting to see Eisworth slip from first team to nowhere. Also agree with Purdy being 3rd team.

Would not surprise me to see Purdy end up as an honorable mention choice when the Big 12's awards come out. I wouldn't necessarily agree with it, but based on the general logic of Hurts and Brewer leading their teams to 11-1 seasons, I can see it happening.

Purdue on third is fine. A couple more wins and he's probably second team.

Greece getting second is great as a freshman, especially since he wasn't immediately our number 1 back.

Trivial annoyance -- I think PFF also did this last year -- why is ISU denoted with a black and gold box?

He'll get two votes, one from Riley and one from Rhule since they can't vote for their own guys
