I talked to Dylan Weaver and his mom and dad for a little bit at the social. Nice family. Live right by Giants stadium, but Eagle fans.

Also talked to Paniro and his assistant coach for a while. Paniro got 4th in PA state tourney. 1st was Ryan Anderson and 3rd was Cam Robinson.

Top 40 kid they flew his and his family out here for an official..yeah they wanted him. And yes, it’s another miss. Spin it how you’d like.

I won't downplay the lack of big recruits so far this fall, but this one isn't surprising. A NJ kid stayed home and chose Rutgers. Trying to take a kid out of NJ is a known challenge, and they tried. Not viewing it as a huge negative to hold against the staff though.

I don’t think getting wrestlers out of Jersey is a known problems. In fact it is typically the opposite. It is a big problem for the Jersey colleges to keep their studs home.

Jersey is one of the top states for wrestling in the country, and the vast majority of their recruits leave. Last year Jersey had 4 guys in the top 25 recruits and only one stayed home. Same in 2018 when only one of New Jersey’s top 4 recruits stayed in New Jersey.

Yep that’s been the problem for Rutgers
