Romelo Webster should not be at the bottom of anyone's list. If Pat Narduzzi wants you on his defense, then that's a good sign

You may be right. I welcome all conversation on this as nobody really knows how it will play out.

I like Webster, but for me I look at all the talent that has been brought in at the secondary position and think it will be a while before he even has a chance to see the field. That's why you see 4 secondary players in the 20's on my list. Not because I don't think they are in any good, but because OL, DL, and LB guys have an easier road to making an impact.

Go away troll!

I have a hard time believing that anyone would put a running back with 4.4 speed 24th out of 26th on a list such as this..............

Pretty good list I would say. I however would put Eyioma Uwazurike higher. The kid is 6'6 250 as a true freshman and he is fast. I think he has NFL written all over him if He has the drive.

I would agree with it only because I think that highly of the other RB in the class. Has nothing to do with him. Montgomery just looks special to me. Speed power and quickness

My top ten for this incoming class (based on projected value to this team 3 years from now) would be:

1. Jacob Park
2. Kene Nwangwu
3. D'Andre Payne
4. Chase Allen
5. JaQuan Bailey
6. Jalen Martin
7. Jeff Proctor
8. Zach Silbermann
9. Josh Mueller
10. Dylan Soehner

Interesting that Adam has David Montgomery, same class as Kene W, in his top 10 right now, and you don't have him in your "3-years-from-now-top-10", while Kene is #2 for you.

I, for one, would like to hear both stances.

Not saying either one of you is "wrong". Just found it interesting, and think it would be even more interesting to understand the "why".

My thought is that a running back first needs to be able to "see" where the hole will be, and then can accelerate through the hole and beyond. I don't think many people fully appreciate how well Mike Warren is at the acceleration part. (That is why he gets 6 yards on a carry that looks like it should only get 3.) After watching video on both Kene Nwangwu, and Jeff Proctor, the ability of each to accelerate gives them the kind of "burst" that is hard for the defense to deal with.

Fair enough. Just curious on why you have Grant ahead of Webster? Is it size?

I will agree I really like how kene makes a cut and goes which is what Warren does well. However the reason why I like Montgomery more is because he has all the physical tools now. He is a little more raw at RB just because he played QB in high school. A lot of his film is on slush runs. The reason I think He could be great is because he Has all the moves and quickness you could ask for along with size already. He runs with more power than Kene as well. He will need to learn how to get down hill quickly like you said, but that can be learned.

I think these kids are under rated on your list.

Deshaunte Jones - super explosive play maker
Kene Nwangw - rare athlete

Keenan Forbes - big, athletic, and nasty (re-watch his highlights)

First off, I'm assuming these lists are based on how much impact they will have by the time they leave ISU, not how much impact they will have this year.

With that being said here are the guys I think should be higher on your list....

Deshaunte Jones- a little higher
Zeb Noland- should be top 5 (hopefully for ISU fans' sake)
Uwazurike- a little higher
Jalen Martin- a little higher
Oge Udeogu- should be top 10
Arnold Azuna- should be top 15, I think he's going to be good
Kene Nwangu- a LOT higher, probably top 10. He'll probably play this year.

Guys who should probably be lower.....

Sean Foster- I know he's a 4 star, and I think he'll be top 5, just not top 2.
Dylan Soehner- not sure why so many have him so high? We don't even know if he'll be a TE or OL yet, correct?
Jamahl Johnson- a little lower. 2 star that we beat out Rutgers and South Dakota for.
Justin Stewart- a bit of an unknown. I think he'll be top 15, but not 8th.
Joshua Bailey- we really wanted his brother and took Joshua in a package deal. I think he will contribute for us, but with all the guys I'm moving up, someone has to go down a little.
