Should The Little River Band be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?

Blasphemy. Remember the 2012 R & R Hall of Fame inductee Guns n Roses, Axl Rose refused to appear and they had maybe one good album with few tunes I care for. But, the band with the biggest debut album, great songs, most played now on rock songs radio-- Boston is NOT in the RRHF!

I'll double down on your support of Boston for sure, but GnR is, like, the only band you could have picked where your objective points are not correct. Appetite is the only rock debut bigger than Boston and they are an S-tier classic rock radio staple. Axl turned out to be a real clown, but by any measure they are comfortably in the RRHF.

Neither are Seals and Crofts
(thinking of prolific pioneers in that genre we call "soft rock".)

But Little River Band should be?

I didn't read this all but my understanding is that 'LRB' has been touring for years with no original members while those still alive that were in the band have been legally locked out.
Travesty.

Can we just call it the Rock and Roll Hall of Pretty Good at this point? There’s too many groups in there and it really waters it down for the groups that should be recognized.

I have a similar view on most halls of fame, including sports. At some point it reaches a saturation level that doesn't seem sustainable. I think too many are inducted each year.

I see music and sports recognition as completely different. Musical taste is so subjective. Sports accomplishments are much more measurable and comparable within eras. For that reason, I believe the R&RHOF should be much more liberal in how many get in.

Saw them a couple months ago. Very good show but no original members

There are about 30 who should be in ahead of LRB. The top of my list would be Canned Heat and Marshall Tucker.

When they had the big benefit for the victims of 9/11 Lenny Cravits played "American Woman." Probably not the best for the occasion.
