FWIW, Daughtry’s only scheduled OV is Iowa. I think they probably end up landing him.

Right, but a guy from Florida isn't going to come up to Iowa for an OV if he's not seriously considering the school. McCollum is going to sell "You can be the next Sturtz" to any and every point guard, and he's super well respected in the coaching world and known for developing PGs

I would say he is known for developing A point guard. Not point guards plural. I mean he has in all fairness only been a D1 head coach for a couple years, however, He only get's credit for Stirtz so far.
Did you watch the rest of the highlights or just the garbage time dunk? He's scoring with elite shooting, ball handling, and size/strength. He doesn't have a great first step or vertical, which is common for recruits of his ranking.
But if you have the skill, IQ, and size, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Just put the ball in the hoop. He's going to be really good.
I’ve asked around and the only people who are confident with him reside in Iowa City. Take that for what it’s worth.
That dude has Duke or UNC written all over him, can't imagine they don't come calling, and soon. Once they do, the fantasy gameplay for Hok fans will come to an end. Any 5-star recruit in this era is not maximizing his salary potential if he goes somewhere like Iowa. The reduced exposure alone would cost him significant $$.

Yes and no. Every one of our transfers took a huge pay cut to come here. Same with Davis, Harrington and Kohnen.
We got Jaquan Johnson cheaper than Iowa got a bench player from the same conference.

a 5-star player can get a ton of money. I'm not saying they wouldn't play for less, somewhere else, at all. It just gives you more opportunities and may eliminate some programs.
I have no clue about what Iowa has or would be willing to pay any player, past or present.
