••• 2026 Official Chicago Cubs Thread •••

It ended up fine. I'm actually a trolling O's fan who knows they stink so strolled over here after the one loss to see. :)
Well then you ventured into a thread where someone will eat their own everytime we get a risp with less than two outs that doesn’t score or a reliever gives up a couple runs they’ll cry to have them DFAd. We’ve had posts wanting to kick Palencia and Brown ( a coupe ++ fastballs) to the curb over the past couple years. ( yet they defend Taillon???)

So if you think you got the juice to run smack here all I can say is bring it.

Didn't you want to send PCA to the minors earlier this year?

Hell, I was self deprecating, yall just didnt know it yet.

Our fans want about everyone gone, but the GM most of all.

I thought it was funny when some genius said it could happen due to his nine figure contract. Was that you? Because he’s still on his rookie deal.

@CYdTracked could you look up who that was?
Wasn't me. You know what I can look up? PCA's batting avg up to April 21st on fangraphs. It wasn't .111 it was .225 when you made that post. I don't care if you have a bad take. I've had plenty of them. It's a sports message board. But that's a pretty big glass house you're living in and if you're going to call out others for their bad takes in this thread you better lead off with your own and own up to it.

I believe I sad something along the lines of it would be a really bad look to send him down after you just signed him to a big extension. I don't care if he is still on his rookie contract this season you don't demote your gold glove all-star CF over a slow start to the season. You said that back in April and I can't believe you are still doubling down on that take after it has aged so poorly. Just admit you over-reacted in the moment and move on. PCA is having an MVP type of run at the moment and you still think they would have entertained sending him down at that time? I doubt it ever was a conversation in the front office.

I saw stuff here all the time that probably ages bad too. It's what we do as fans when we vent frustration. I'll own it admit when I was wrong too.

Saw Liam Hendriks pitch last night for the ICubs. Looked good. 4IP thus far, 6 Ks, 0.5 WHIP. Guessing up to Chicago after the AS break without a set back. Could certainly help the bullpen

We’re 4-9 when your boy starts this year. His extended stay on the IL has kept us in semi contention.

I've never said he was a top end of the rotation guy either and I'm realistic that he has little to no trade value either so he's here until his contract expires. He ain't the only starter that has been on the IL for extended time this year either if you take a look at the current state of the pitching staff.

He's going to be gone next season so can't wait to see who your next whipping boy is after he is gone. I've never hyped Tallion to be anything more than a backend of the rotation innings eater and when healthy he usually does a fairly good job of that. I've never had the expectation that he'd be anything better than a #4 or #5 kind of starter thus I don't hold him to such high standards as you seem to. He is what he is at this point and he's had some productive stretches when he's been healthy but unfortunately he's also had stretches like this season where he's not been consistently healthy.
