That's a nice beaver you got. Official Buc-ee's love thread

I think they are a bit overrated. The bathrooms are awesome, the fresh sandwiches are a nice touch if you are in the mood. The rest of it has the feel of a General Store. I would not go out of my way to visit one, but if you need gas or a potty break (and you happen to be driving near one), then I'll stop like any other gas station. I don't understand how some people lose their sh*t over visiting one.

My wife is an unofficial “Buc-ees Babe” so it’s her world and I’m just getting out of the way. I remember when the big Minnesota Mall of America was the hot deal and that aura doesn’t exist anymore but the business plan here is pretty good. Location on busy interstates, guaranteed clean restrooms, quick gas access, decent food and NO SEMI Trucks. I notice that people are buzzing around in an apparent gleeful state of mind.
Living in the DFW area we are within an hour or so drive of six different Buc-ees. I have a friend who will just load up her Golden Retrievers and road trip to any different one of them just to shop and kill time.

Clean bathrooms? Psh. When I'm using a gas station bathroom, I want the Caseys experience

We have been to 9 to 10 different Buc-ee's and never thought they were even close to a Walmart in terms of being clean and the amount of dirtballs in the place. Some of the Walmarts are a little shaky at best. The better ones tend to those in the midsized towns where they are the only game in town.

Grinnell, Pella and Indianola have nice, clean Wal-Marts. But not as clean as Buc-ee's.
