Tamin Lipsey signs with the Indiana Pacers on an Exhibit-10 deal

Exclusive contract through the preseason (training camp, summer league and preseason). From there he can sign a two way contract or the Pacers retain the right to him for G League play and he gets a bonus if he plays for their G League team. Or of course he can make the Pacers on minimum salary plus a small bonus.
IIRC, Gabe Kalscheur got an exhibit 10 deal with Golden State a couple years back. Unfortunately nothing came of it long term for him

Sorry for being a noob but what is an exhibit 10 contract? Can he get picked up by another team if pacers cut him post summer league? Either way I think Lipsey will at minimum get a cup of coffee in the NBA he works too hard not to.

He is a smart player he will make it on someone's rooster
Just needs to find the right team/role.
Jamal Shead is getting 20 mins a game for Toronto. Just got his 3rd year exercised.

No reason Tamin can't be the same player if the dominoes fall his way.

Teams want to carry 3 PG. Smart, athletic, strong defender. He will be fine.

He doesn't have the upside that Monte didn't quite reach (due to height), but I think his lack of height being offset by his strength as a defender gives him a fantastic chance to have a similar career if he stays healthy.

I could see Tamin making the Pacers G League team. I find it odd that the Pacers signed both Tamin and Braden Smith. Both undersized by NBA standards. Pacers have three quality point guards in Tyrese, Nembhard, and TJ. TJ is the key to their second unit. After those three it is wide open at PG. I’m not sure how Tamin fits the style the Pacers play, but his hustle will be appreciated. Pacers do need someone in case TJ gets hurt since Tyrese and Nembhard both start.

Smith for some butts in seats during exhibitions/g league? Purdue legend in Indy now.

That and it doesn't seem like he really did anything all that well in college besides pass. Solid 3 point shooter and ft shooter but not elite.
He didn’t play well against Iowa State, but he was a very good PG on a highly ranked P4 team. Not sure he has the size to compete in the NBA. Tamin isn't tall, but he is physical.
