Red card there seemed a little extreme to me but not sure if Ngoy already had yellows. Penalty didn't look that bad IMO.

It wasn’t a hard foul, but he held a player that was about to run out and be face to face with the goalie (clear scoring opportunity). It was the right call due to the circumstances.

Wouldn’t we want to cheer for an Egyptian victory tonight? Technically, both Egypt and NZ both control their own destiny, but Egypt finishes with CV. So if Egypt wins tonight they’d be the group winner with a win. A NZ win still gives Belgium the chance to control their destiny in the group.
Good point. Egypt has a better chance of beating Iran than New Zealand does of beating Belgium. I guess go Egypt?
Regardless, not playing Belgium in the second round would be ideal. We'll see how it plays out.

No idea about Cape Verde, but definitely not Uruguay. The vast majority if not all of their players are from Uruguay. It has always amazed how somewhat competitive they are given how small their country is.
