This is either going to be a boring Sunday finish, or those Shinnecock locker rooms are gonna need some work come Monday.
At least he didn’t throw a driver and almost kill somebody like he did at the PGA a few years ago. Another Judge Smails.
Not sure what the weather forecast is, but have to figure the setup by USGA will be the toughest of the week. Hard to imagine any of the -1/E/+1 guys pulling off a 66. Need Clark to gag a little, or this is over.
Clark has played great, but I will say, it seems like every time he has hit a bad shot, he draws a decent break/lie. Maybe some of that fortune balances out tomorrow

It even his presence in the group will put more pressure on if Clark starts poorly or Scottie starts hot.
Unless Clark has an epic collapse, this will turn into one of the worst majors of my life. Shinnecock was not allowed to wreak carnage on the field. Little to no drama. Just a guy playing good golf that no one wanted to see.
The USGA needs to do some soul searching. If you're going to neuter the course for the first two days, you're not going to have anything compelling for the weekend.

I get it if you don't want Clark to win but also not a big fan of some of the crowd cheering his bad shots.
NYC crowd. It’s one thing not to cheer or just give some light golf claps, it’s another thing to openly be rooting for the guy to choke. Everyone knows what he did last year at Oakmont, but he’s responded to that with contrition.
