*** Cyclone Fanatic Fast Food Tournament Sweet 16 ***

If we're going burger vs burger, I'm choosing B-Bops 10 times out of 10, and there is absolutely nothing special about B-Bops burger. It's a conveyor belt patty that comes out the same each and every time. Culver's does a smash-type burger that gets that slick surface from the flat top which I honestly don't like.

Expanded offerings roster gives Culver's the edge for me. And I like B-Bops fries, but I'm a fiend for crinkle cut
This is the most accurate post on this thread. Love both fries. I like BBops fries better but this makes sense

Both good burgers IMO, different burgers. I get the Culver's Bacon Deluxe in the double, their patties definitely thinner and lean more smash-style so I like the two patties. B-Bops fries definitely better, and I'd probably give B-Bops a slight edge on burger. Culver's onion rings are awesome, and their walleye and cod sandwiches are legit. Tough matchup.

You should go triple. It's not on the menu boards but they have a button for it. Also available in their app.

I mean, most restaurants are using some form of frozen fry that isn't much different than what you find in a grocery store.
Not In-and-Out. You can watch them cut the potato and drop it right in the fryer. Pretty sure 5Guys are fresh also.

Which is kind of ironic given that there have been complaints about both of those fry options in this thread.

Maybe it’s different near you, but my Culver’s crinkle cut fries are grocery store Ore-Ida freezer bag quality. They’re disgusting.

This doesn't get talked about enough IMO. Culver's rapid growth forced them to change suppliers for fries and their cheese curds and they were both significant steps back IMO.

I have easy access to both B-Bops and Culver’s. I try not to eat a lot of fast food these days, but I will say I don’t even look at Culver’s when I do. B-Bop’s, on the other hand? Someone has to talk me out of going there.

100% agree. Unfortunately the wife prefers Culvers, so we have to battle it out the 1-2 times/year we go to those places (or just make 2 stops!).

For me, I factored value for my money in as well. Five Guys has superior product but $25 for a meal when I can get a double double meal from In-N-Out for $7 makes In-N-Out a no brainer for me.

Same with B-Bops. You can get a solid burger, fries, and drink for like $7. Culver’s is more like $10-$12. I like both, but B-Bops has better value for your money IMO.

The only way Chick-Fil-A loses to Dairy Queen is because of CFA's political stance - CFA food & service is hands down better. DQ food is garbage, maybe people here just love their soft serve.
If somebody doesn't eat there (for whatever reason) why would they pick them in this competition?

For me personally, the blizzard holds a special nostalgic place in my heart, which beats out chicken that I never eat.

I haven't been for a while but the one in Tipton always had great burgers.

I do believe they are closing that location.

(Maybe because I haven't been there for a while.)

And it’s burger is better than any other signature item in this tournament
Yeah almost should have done regions by type of fast food like Burger region, sandwich region, then I dunno how you do the other 2 with a mix of mexican food and other stuff like Panda express in the mix. Probably had more burger joints than anything in the tournament that made it difficult to do that but maybe could have done 2 burger regions, a sandwich region, then an at large that covered your mexican food, chicken, and other specialty fast food types? Kind of hard when you are pitting a burger place against something like Popeyes, Jersey Mike's, and Panda Express because they don't really have the same kind of menus and food offerings.
