McDonald’s is still my favorite fast food breakfast in Des Moines. Everything else is bad. Well, except the fries are at least average.

HyVee gas breakfast sandwiches are elite, specifically the ones from the grimes location. I haven’t eaten them from any other ones. Everything is made fresh off the shelves from the store. The real fried egg is tops compared to the reheated yellow fluff everywhere else.

Breakfast is about the only thing that brings me back to McD's. And every once in a blue moon, I crave a fillet-o-fish or QPC.

The fillet-o-fish is a joke these days.

McDonalds french fries are the bomb. That alone gets my vote.

Assuming you get them properly served to you.

Had my first 5 guys experience tonight. A single cheeseburger, fries and drink. It's what they say expensive but you get your money's worth especially on the fries. Everything that can fit in the bag then some.

I got a very friendly cashier to boot. I told her about our fast food bracket and how they were taking on McDonald's and would probably win. So far I look to be right.

Culver’s and Freddy’s is close to the same thing

Should be an Elite 8 matchup, not round of 32.

TJ's vs. TB is a great 2nd round matchup. No tournament is complete without the bizarre 8/9 over 1 upset.

In & Out vs. Steak & Shake appears to be the down to the wire matchup.

Voted Tasty Tacos, but biased and Chick Fil A probably deserves to win.

Yeah I voted In & Out too. Steak n Shake does benefit from being one of the first places with that style.

Kinda like how Subway was cutting edge when they first opened, but now there’s so many better options. It’s fine in a pinch, but given a choice I’ll choose Jimmy John’s or another sandwich shop first.

Has anyone tried Tommy's out in California? I think they have them in Vegas also. If that was a nationwide chain it would have made the tournament and had a high seed. Fat Burger as well.

Their gyros while not great have the advantage of being really convenient. The gyros I like are Pammel grocery(?) Out on Lincoln way. A couple of yrs ago they served pretty good food there.

If it comes out their region which is stacked I don't think other region winner's have a chance.

For burgers yes but as far as menu variety Culver's is far superior. The Cod sandwich is delicous.

I don't even think they're that similar. Freddie's steakburgers have paper thin patties. Culvers is far better quality.
