Texas Tech 10 Million Dollar Portal Season

Paxton threatens to sue the Big 12. Cody Campbell just gave $30,000 to Paxtons campaign.

Like I said before I feel bad for Brett. I know I shouldn't but damn he really is in it right now. I have no idea what is going to happen.
Same, guy has been doing a fantastic job jut just an awful look to be stumping for Cody and his DOA bill in Congress and then have him pull this while reminding Yormark publicly that he owns him and the Big12 runs through Lubbock.

I would not want his job at all but that salary would be nice

Paxton is currently tied in his senate race. Kinda curious what the folks in Houston, Dallas and Waco think of his threats.

According to AI, the average gambling addiction relapse after treatment is 50 percent after one year and 75 to 90 percent after two years.

I'm having a hard time not cheering for Sorsby... The Big 12 needs Tech to go far and it's not possible without him leading their offense.

Not ideal but it's reality. Also can't change the screw job given to our players by the current AG...
If TT does anything with Sorsby in the playoffs, which I doubt because he isn’t very good, this will just have a massive * next to it and won’t do the Big12 any favors especially if the commish just sits on his hands and lets it happen.

BS for a lot of reasons but that will be the prevailing narrative that comes out of it, nothing positive for the Big12

Wait a minute...is he implying that the top STATE law enforcement can charge Sorsby with FEDERAL crime?

SMH

No, he’s saying the state obviously won’t do the right thing, so the feds need to step in and charge him with the transferring money across state lines to place bets.

So... what legal action can they do if everyone votes to kick TT out of the conference in accordance with the bylaws?

There are plenty of actions that TT signed on and agreed to, in order to be in the conference. So any violation of any of those I would say the conference has 100% legal ability to enforce.

They are going to make so much of a stink they are going to find themselves out on their asses, and no one will touch them. No other conference are going to want to deal with them and their Billionaire who buys their teams right and left and threatens to sue anyone and everyone.

Just kick them out and be done.

He isn’t that good and given his addiction/anxiety issues, leadership issues (lack thereof) and spotlight/pressure resulting from this fiasco, the odds of him being successful and productive aren’t that great IMO if he actually plays.

As previously posted, they are perhaps better off with Will Hammond at QB if he is healthy by Week 3 when they play Houston.

Would be a shame if they got screwed by the refs every week.
I don’t see the officials going that far. I think we could see him the target of big hits and hard tackles penalties be damned.

However, with how subjective targeting is currently…

“After further review, there is no foul for targeting.”
