I'm pretty surprised to hear them say the Big 12 needs TTU as the reason the Big 12 didn't immediately tell them to not play Sorsby. If the SEC or Big 10 wanted Texas Tech, they would have taken them. TTU needs the Big 12 too.

I sometimes wonder if they are getting a bit "Game of Thrones" with the politics of College Sports when a lot of this stuff really happens at random with no other motivation than "this helps me right now." Tech wasn't trying to prove a point or push the limits for any reason other than "we need a QB."
