***Official St. Louis Cardinals Thread***

It’s been so fun that I don’t know what to do when they don’t play. Like I’m just lost tonight because the Cards are off. I actually am enjoying tuning into the farm system games but they don’t play on Mondays
It's fun again to watch them play, which I was not saying the past couple of seasons. Stick to the plan play the young players and watch the grow together,

Gorman’s situation is a disaster, they’ve given him a ton of bats with no positive results. He looks lost at the plate and his once value as trade bait is gone, which is the only reason I can see for why they’ve been sending him out there. Noot’s return sent Victor down but outside of Fermin, I don’t know what the options are at 3rd. Saggesse (sp) needs to follow Victor.

Gorman was sent to Memphis today. Blaze Jordan brought up and starting at 3B tonight.

Can’t believe Chaim had the balls to do that. Scott and Gorman down within a week of each other for guys who are actually performing. Two guys who were mainstays last year as run way guys

Good. Produce or let someone else give it a go.

Yes, a bit of a surprise. I guess they aren't messing around.

I think more fun moves could be on the horizon. I feel this is Roycrofts last chance. If it doesn’t go well then I think he’ll be DFAd and we’ll see either Rajcic or Gastelum

Gorman is lost at the plate, there was no point in throwing him out there, send him down and hopefully he can figure it out at Memphis. I really thought before the season, that it would be Walker struggling and Gorman would be the one that finally is playing up to his ability. Boy was I wrong, Walker looks great, All Start level play while Gorman has struggled all year long.

Getting rid of Aeranado, Goldschmidt, Contrearous and Donovan has turned out so far to be the overhaul that was needed. Weatherholdt has been the big difference at lead off, Church looks like a player. Noot is back. 3rd and Catcher will be interesting to see who rises to the top. It's obvious that Chaim pulls the plug and moves on after giving a player time to produce or get demoted. The offense and defense are not a problem but pitching needs an upgrade if they will sustain this good start. They need a starter that can go out every start and give them 6/7 strong innings which is not on the roster. Too many of the starters are bull pen guys that can go thru the order twice only. But after the final few years of the Mozeliak tenure, this is a vast improvement.

Playing much better than expected, but the hardest part is sticking to the plan and not get caught up with winning this season at all costs. If you can make a killing by trading May at the deadline, then move him. In the draft, look at 3rd base, than more pitching. Lots of opportunities for a quality player drafting at 13.

I’d be interested to see if they try and move a guy to third and see if they can stick there. We have about a bajillion catchers. Or a shortstop like Jesus Baez moving to third. As much fun as the big league club is, there is sooo much more fun going on in the minors. Really intriguing guys performing across all levels

So much more fun watching the Cardinals this season than the last few! (I know, winning is always more fun, but just being able to watch the games and have some hope is refreshing!)

One would think they could get a prospect or two from all the catching they have in the system. Need to solve the 3rd base problem or get Gorman right.

Nice win again today, we are not going to catch the Brewers but this teams is more than capable of finishing in 2nd place and maybe get into the playoffs. That would be a huge accomplishment for this young team.

A fun series to watch but should’ve been a sweep, instead they lose 2 to a crappy twins teams. Bullpen let the team down biiiig time
Bullpen has been up and down, you have to like they are scoring runs and hitting homers. Walks are killing the bullpen overall, hard to win when those guys are not coming in throwing strikes.
