I have a feeling at this point they are going to push QB recruiting into the fall. There are always QB’s that pop their senior year.

Brock is a recent enough example for Iowa State. Campbell and staff didn’t offer him until after his senior football season was over. His only other P4 offer at that time was Kansas. Shortly after the Cyclone staff offered A&M and Alabama both offered

Commits to first power 4 offer so quickly, not local, I would put the odds of him being at Iowa State at less than 1 percent. But hey hope I’m wrong and obviously our coaches seem to really be connecting with recruits.

I'd say it's 50-50 at this point. Only other offer is Northern Arizona. Yikes. I wonder if he was at an ISU camp and impressed the coaches. I had t heard of this kid until today.

Agreed. Currently, neither BYU & Utah have a QB for this class.

Do these recruits/offers/commitments seem on par with what Campbell and staff did their first year or two? I can’t seem to recall. The latest commitments all appear a notch lower than we were getting under Campbell and staff in their last years, no?

Camp season is just starting and they could blow up/get more offers as the summer goes on. At this point, I am just trusting the staffs ability to evaluate talent from these camps and will cheer on whoever they bring in

Great approach. Like you say, maybe this staff is very good at spotting talent early.

Both of these guys are players they have seen on film and then watched them perform in person at camp, so they must have liked them. The previous staff had the lineback at camp last year. When he came last year he was a safety, and the suggested he switch to linebacker. So he worked out with the linebackers. They thought enough of him to bring him for a game day visit. Jimmy's staff picked up his recruiting and had him in for junior day. Brought him to camp and they pulled the trigger with an offer. He had a good year in highschool ball as well.

The last position I'm worried about for being lower rated recruits is LBs, this defensive staff has shown in the previous stops that they are good talent evaluators of that position.

He very will could be but I think Joey Massey is more of a FB then a receiving TE. I think he is only 6’2” or so.
