Milan Momcilovic withdraws from the 2026 NBA Draft

I hope we play them next year again (or in two years), just lock him down and beat the **** out of them…again.
What a time to be alive, when I 100% think that Kentucky adding an ISU player who is the #1 transfer available, will still not make them better than ISU.
AND......they aren't on sanctions or anything like that.

Well in my opinion, Milan had a chance when he was desperately needed to step up in the tournament twice when we had guys injured and he failed to do it. We could have really used a few 3 pointers against Tennessee.

That being said he seems like a great kid and he is a great player. He deserves to be paid what they are gonna give him.

Cracks me up we humilated Kentucky so badly they threw money at one of our players to withdraw from the NBA draft to play for them.

Hope the $6 million payday doesn't end up ruining his future draft prospects.
I'm curious. How would him getting $6 million dollars now hurt his future draft prospects? Personally, I think he's a fringe NBA guy. Just my opinion. Getting paid now will have no bearing on his getting drafted or not next season.

Agree. He is definitely a fringe NBA guy. Will maybe get drafted, but will more than likely be a career g leaguer with a few stints up and down or Euro pro in 5 years.

I think the funniest thing (I know NIL didn't exist until a couple years ago), but Milan of all players is the one that gets stolen and 'worth' 6 mil. Out of all the players we've had.

he might be in the top 10-20 shooter in college history. I am not surprised at all.

I'm just glad he did not end up at Arizona where we would have the possibility of him playing in another uniform in Hilton much like we may have to with Audi Crooks at OSU. If we play him it will be in a meaningful game in March in the NCAA Tournament and I am ok with that.

We took on 5 transfers ourselves. I'm sure the fans of their former teams are probably a little bitter too about seeing their former player possibly have success at another school. It's the unfortunate nature of the transfer portal era.

None of the transfers ISU brought in made a lateral, at best, move (team/coach/program wise). It’s not the same, this is purely a money grab. It is what it is as far as Milan goes, but the situations are not even close to the same.

He still couldn't rebound, play defense, and literally did not show up in the big moments especially in the tournament. Who made the biggest threes this past year that actually mattered, Nate. I think he's a great shooter, but 6 mil is wild.

Is it messed up that I don’t care? This is what “college” sports are now.

Otz feels good about the squad he has. We’ll be ready to roll this season.
It’s actually refreshing someone doesn’t care. I mean I think most of us knew he was coming back to college and it wasn’t going to be Iowa State based on MONEY and TIMELINE both. He will go play at Kentucky and probably play pretty well(probably won’t put up last years numbers though) and then go into the draft after next season.

Northwestern is obviously not on the same level as current ISU, but they do have a decent coach and I'm sure their fans (how ever many there are) wish Singleton had stayed past his freshman year.

Otherwise, yeah, I agree about TJ's transfers. I don't agree that it was "purely a money grab." Timing of the NBA draft process was a significant factor.
