Got that much over the beginning of the week. Sprayer left some ruts in the field. That is fair but still likely under average especially as you add in the last couple of weeks.
At my house in Marion I got 8.32 in April and 1.76 in May.

6 inches in April 4 in May.I’ll bet I’m close to that too. With most of it the first 3 weeks in April.
We are slightly above our average. That is fair but still likely under average especially as you add in the last couple of weeks.

Maybe in your Iowa, not so much in mine. April 2”” and so far in may 2.5””. Never recharged from a dry fall and winterThere's plenty of moisture down there right now to handle some dry weather and let the roots chase. We will need rain in July and August to finish the crop but that is the case no matter how deep your roots go. We have proven a few times over the last 5 years that the timing of precipitation is far more important than the quantity of precipitation with how efficient modern genetics have become with water.
Spent several days in San Diego during their "June gloom" season and had to wear a jacket the entire time. Never saw the sun. That describes San Diego. Love it there.
Nope, the whole weekend has been quiet.Wild night tonight?
Did some looking into this for verification. It's a typo I believe and should be corrected to "a reed trimmer" will be there on that date--you know, the guy who puts new reeds in oboes, clarinets, and such. Makes sense from a Performing Arts point of viewGot a nice copy of the NIACC Performing Arts booklet in the mail today. It talks about all kinds of interesting people coming to perform at NIACC in the 26-27 season. Why would I bring this up in the Weather Thread? Reed Timmer will be live at NIACC on September 29 2026. Should be fun.
Damn, good reminder, I meant to check that out.Eye of the Storm: Storm Chasers has been a good watch so far
For the most part I would agree..................I can't stand the drama/excitement chasers but that is just more of where I come from. I like that they show the humanitarian side etc. but the guys literally getting in accidents to try and get closer can go away IMO.Eye of the Storm: Storm Chasers has been a good watch so far
Yeah, I could do without the drama too, but the footage is excellent and they do take some time to show the tragic side of these storms. For the most part I would agree..................I can't stand the drama/excitement chasers but that is just more of where I come from. I would like to amend this statementI would bet most of the state is categorized in moderate by the end of June.
