I hate it, but this would actually be the best fit and system.Well…Goodman is now saying “there will be a school that offers in the neighborhood of $7M”.
Arizona is a new school in the mix.
How do you figure this is the case when it goes against everything we've heard? It seems like the number being thrown around was 3 million was going to be what ISU could offer him and it was thought that would do it a couple of months ago. 7 million is bonkers. All this for a guy who doesn't want to return to ISU because he doesn't want the burden of being the primary offensive weapon.
Just because someone doesn't fit the NBA game doesn't mean they aren't valuable in college. Look out east at Garza who won POY but was was taken 52nd.Imagine paying $7mil for a 2nd rd pick.
These two sentences don't make any sense. Any team that's willing to pay him 7M will be expecting him to be the primary scorer. It doesn't work any other way.7 million is bonkers. All this for a guy who doesn't want to return to ISU because he doesn't want the burden of being the primary offensive weapon.
Buddy, I'm actually in the camp that thinks he should stay in the pro game. Just making a point that the spending is insane of some of these programsJust because someone doesn't fit the NBA game doesn't mean they aren't valuable in college. Look out east at Garza who won POY but was was taken 52nd.
Lol yeah high level shooters always hate the burden of shooting moreIt seems like the number being thrown around was 3 million was going to be what ISU could offer him and it was thought that would do it a couple of months ago. 7 million is bonkers. Like 3 times on one series IIRC.
Wasnt that also the "unprofessional fans" game? Looking back, that might have been the nail in the coffin for Holgersons WVU career
Some of it is from info shared on the premium board, but also talked about by CW on the podcast a month or so ago. Don't know exactly what podcast. We all know that the last few months of the season CW said Milan was likely coming back. Then, when Jefferson got hurt and Milan got shut down in the Tennessee game thinking changed. Milan realized how tough it was going to be without a guy like Jefferson at ISU and he needed to bolt for the NBA. He apparently knows his own limitations and doesn't think he will be as successful if he's the focal point of the offense at ISU and either wants to go to the NBA or be in a better offensive situation. Plus making millions more dollars doesn't hurt. Sorry if you don't like hearing that, but it's not something I am making up.These two sentences don't make any sense. See above post. It's been talked about by CW on his podcast amongst other places.Lol yeah high level shooters always hate the burden of shooting more
Yeah, 24 million people living on a sandbar 3 feet above sea level is not a great idea.
I remember the conversation. I think you're embellishing aspects of it.Some of it is from info shared on the premium board, but also talked about by CW on the podcast a month or so ago. Not really. Again, some of it may be colored by what others have said in premium too, but Milan was never coming back to ISU mainly because he was worried about how successfull he would be in the offense. The thought was at the beginning very likely he would stay in the draft and entering the portal was for the worse case scenario. Now, if he's not getting a guaranteed contract like he wanted and there is an insane bidding war for him, the college option is looking a lot more likely.I remember the conversation. I think you're embellishing aspects of it.

I mean, the fact is he's not great at getting his own shot and athletic defenders have been able to shut him down at times.WOW! What a loser mentality. I definitely didn't see Milan being someone that runs from being "the guy".

No, he was never going to be the focal point of the offense in the NBA. Just like he's not going to be a focal point of any of these teams that are going to pay him this outrageous sum of money. They all think they just need a guy to stand out there and nail open 3s when defenses focus on their studs, and no one is better at that than Milan. Maybe ever.If he’s that aware of his limitations, wouldn’t one be inclined to think one isn’t ready for earning a spot in the NBA? Prudent to lock in $10+ million in college (using 5th year) at some stacked blue blood. Hopefully improve. Then go and try to earn NBA roster spot
The worst outcome would be to burn guaranteed millions in college salary by chasing NBA, only to not be ready or not make it. (Assuming ineligiblity is still a thing in CBB)
Getting?This is getting stupid.
Agree, but the implication of that is that not excelling in the focal point role at Iowa St shouldn’t factor in to the NBA decisionNo, he was never going to be the focal point of the offense in the NBA.
