Milan Momcilovic tweets "entering NBA draft and portal"

I still think Milan's biggest issue is how long his jumpshot takes to develop. These NBA snipers have such a quick trigger-- and you have to have that when you have NBA size and athleticism closing out on you. I saw some UK writer talk about how misused he was by TJ as a spot up shooter and how Pope would get him open through screens and motion, but I just don't think that's Milan. I just don't think he has the athleticism or release to be running all around the court through screens.

It's just a tough evaluation and I can understand him not being a first round guy because of it.

but his is pretty quick and from above his head and nearly 7' off the ground? in the NBA space he would thrive IMO.

I don't know either way but I think he could do a lot of damage with the mid post up fades.
In this 3 pt climate though he may have to just get used to getting those off quick and can still shoot a high % (which would def keep him in the league).
I remember watching one Georges game a year or two ago where they were either way ahead or behind and so he got a ton of PT and was getting to show all his bag from ISU days gone by. Normally, nobody is looking for that anymore :(

I think this has been covered a lot. He does not have a slow release, and his proven to have basically NO issues getting off jump shots. It took THE most athletic player/freak in college basketball to be able to block his shot this last season. He looked like an NBA 3pt shooting champ in games against Houston, Arizona, Kansas, etc.

Hell, look at the game against Arizona in Hilton last year - he had several no dip 3's from 25 feet that were fantastic. In short - his release is factually quick enough.

About 48 more hours and this thread can be put to rest
Nah, it will finally start then. If he withdraws from the draft and goes to Kentucky, this thread will go at least another 27 pages on NIL, bluebloods, stingy ISU fans, JP will catch some strays. Plenty of room left for discussion. If he stays, there will be a bit less fruit on the vine but I would never doubt cyfan.

27 pages? try 27 months.

some of you people are so hung up on the cheat code that was his 3 point shot, but ISU has a chance to have a completely different identity and get back to beating teams up and taking their lunch money. i am excited for a different team this fall.

i am not saying i wont miss milan. he did everything the coaches asked of him, exceeded all expectations, and was a good dude while doing it.

also, name 1 player that portaled out of ISU for money and performed as good or better at their new school? any sport.

Tyler Onyedim (better), Casey Swiderski (as good).

What is the amount that UK is rumored to be offering? $5 million? If so...and he is on the bubble between 1st/2nd round...he should take that money without zero regrets! I wanted him to come back as much as anyone on this board...but I wouldn't blame him one bit if he takes that much money and plays for UK!
So he should regret it?

Someone on the radio just put out the $7 million amount as well...what "could" have ISU offered? How much would he/should he have forfeited by remaining in Ames? I don't know the answer...but if it is a difference of $2 million...I certainly would have no regrets!

It seems like the number being thrown around was 3 million was going to be what ISU could offer him and it was thought that would do it a couple of months ago. 7 million is bonkers. All this for a guy who doesn't want to return to ISU because he doesn't want the burden of being the primary offensive weapon.

"without no regrets" means he would regret it.
