So, for years now, I've been part of this hand-selected group by Disney to take surveys in the background relaying my thoughts on all things media produced by Disney+. Don't ask me why I was selected in particular, because I don't know. With that said, through the questions, I sometimes get hints ahead of time about what might be coming down the pipe by the questions they are asking me now. For example, the latest questionnaire was all related to what upcoming series I want to see come from the MCU. I first got to make suggestions of whoever I wanted to see head a series, but they also were asking me a ton of questions about my thoughts on a lineup of different characters they clearly are already considering for their own series. Some might be who you think and some might not. Note they are all existing characters in the MCU. I took a similar survey a few years ago which contained many of the same names, but also some different ones. Anyway, in case anyone on here was also curious, here is the rundown of characters from who I remember. I may be missing a few.

Sprite (Eternals)
Ikaris (Eternals) - notable that he is currently dead by flying into the sun
Sersi (Eternals)
Phastos (Eternals)
Adam Warlock (Guardians of the Galaxy)
Starlord (Guardians of the Galaxy)
Gamora (Guardians of the Galaxy) - Notable she is kind-of dead
Mantis (Guardians of the Galaxy)
Darcy Lewis (Thor)
Ian Boothby (Thor) - Darcy's assistant for those who don't know. This one was the most baffling on the list.
Johnny Storm (Fantastic Four)
Vallentina Allegra De Fontaine (Thunderbolts)
Ghost (Ant-Man 2)
Captain America Sam Wilson (Captain America: Brave New World)
Katy (Shang-Chi)

I find it interesting how Eternals and Guardians heavy this list is, as that isn't what I'd expect. My own suggestions were to go more the Black Knight, Blade, Midnights sons route or the X-Men route. I also prefer more street-level TV series over the galactic ones. Based on what they gave me for their list, I leaned to see more of Johnny Storm, Val, Ikaris, Sersi or Star Lord over the others. Its notable they wanted to know my thoughts also on live-action vs animated, main vs supporting character vs cameo, as well as movie vs series for the use of anyone on their existing list. I'm curious anyone else's thoughts on all this. A lot of why I keep doing the surveys is so that I can get some behind the scenes insight as well as so that my voice is potentially being heard for what I want to see next. Therefore, feel free to blame me obviously for anything Marvel produces.
Very interesting! I did not even know this was a 'thing', but makes sense...

I am probably in the minority but I would really like to see an Eternal sequel, with Star Lord as the lead. He's on earth, he is (was?) half-Eternal, and he could help them find the 'stolen' Eternals (and throw Harry Styles in there too).

I am excited to see the next X-Men phase. It will be interesting how they continue the mega-universe level story telling intertwined with the gritty, street-level stuff. I thought Dare Devil Season 2 was really good.

PS. When is that damn Doomsday trailer going to leak...

I'm a lot like you where I didn't really love the Eternals movie, but I am ok seeing more of them in some other form like a series. My favorites by far were Kingo, Ikaris and Sersei. Throwing Star Lord in the mix with them could be kind of cool as well. When I see these lists, I am inevitably always a bit baffled by their list thinking "really???". These are the characters you are considering a series for both by who is on the list and who is absent.

Its also notable that everything I receive is supposed to be confidential, but I'm banking on them not perusing Cyclonefanatic for leaks.

As I mentioned earlier, one character that was on the prior survey but NOT on this one as an option was Harry Stiles as Starfox. I'm struggling to remember some of the others, but I think Hercules was on the former list as well. There was plenty of Eternals characters on both lists.

I’ve come to realize that not announcing the return of Steve Rogers initially was intentional as well as a huge clue.

Anybody watch The Punisher one shot that just came out? Honestly, I was pretty disappointed. The action was good and as brutal as you’d expect from Frank, but the story was kind of dumb. It felt like it should’ve been a culminating episode in a season long arc, and not a self contained story with very little explanation. I actually think Thomas Jane’s “Dirty Laundry” punisher short did a much better job telling a very similar story.

I didn’t hate it, but felt meh. It was just violent spectacle without much substance. Other than continuing beef with Angela (couldn’t help myself) , of which we don’t have much backstory yet, what was the point?

I agree with everything you said and found it to be quite terrible overall with no substance

As a follow-up to this post above, I actually just received a second round survey of Marvel characters to see my thoughts on for being a part of an upcoming Disney+ series. I didn't expect this second round of questions, as I don't remember a second round the previous time I had taken a similar survey years ago. With that said, I'm noting down ALL characters on this one as I'm taking it so I don't miss anyone. Here is the new rundown of characters they want to hear my thoughts on:

Rick Mason - Black Widow (her arms and equipment supplier)
Kingo - Eternals
Reed Richards - Fantastic Four
M'Baku - Black Panther
Everett Ross - Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Cloak and Dagger - Old MarvelTV series (Interesting the consideration of an old MarvelTV property)
Maya Lopez - Echo
Clint Barton - Hawkeye
Bucky Barnes - Thunderbolts
Morgan Stark - Avengers Endgame
Titania - She-Hulk
Ajak - Eternals
Toussaint - Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (T'Challa's son)
Thena - Eternals

The most notable one is potentially reviving an old Marvel TV property with Cloak and Dagger. That was just an ok series, but I found the characters compelling. I remember the first survey I filled out a few years ago had Quake in it from Agents of Shield, who still keeps being rumored to pop up in something at some point. The only two characters on this current list I have zero interest in seeing again is Maya Lopez and Titania. I very much disliked both those characters. I'm trying to forget series like Echo, She-Hulk and Ironheart every happened at this point.

As for who I want to see, sure, Reed Richards, Bucky Barnes, Gamora and Clint Barton are some of my favorite characters in the MCU, but I still lean more movies for those characters. They give you a chance in the survey do select what they would be a best fit for - live-action series, animated series, or movie. As for the most compelling Disney+ series, is it weird to think that a Kingo show could be really compelling and fun? While I didn't love the Eternals movies, I did love his character and back-story. I feel there is a lot of compelling stories to tell there in the past.

I have yet to see the cloak and dagger show. I still have the four comics that comprise their origin story.

I'm a crazy, so I've watched everything the MCU has ever put out, but I think it was on ABC Family, so I don't think many people actually saw it.
Freeform. They made it hard to get. The show was actually pretty decent, if it were to be made and released now on D+ it would have success, I think. They even had ties into the Roxxon Corp which has been dangled in current MCU stuff including Loki.

SIAP, but is there a list of required post-Endgame movies to watch before Doomsday? I think I’ve seen everything up until The Fantastic Four movie, with the exception of She-Hulk and The Marvels, I believe. I’m pretty sure FF is considered a must watch before DD, but want to make sure I’m not missing anything without spoiling things.

I honestly can’t remember being excited for a marvel production since Loki Season 2, but I am for DD and don’t want to be lost.

It was available on Hulu too. That and Runaways, which was Hulu exclusive. Think they even crossed over. I enjoyed it for the most part.

Boy, nobody can really tell you that for sure until they've seen it. Obviously, the safest bet is to watch all of them, but based on what I've heard rumored about Endgame, I'd probably tier them this way:

Tier 1 (Most Important)
- Fantastic Four
- Thunderbolts
- Spider-Man: Far From Home
- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
- Deadpool and Wolverine
- Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantumnania

Tier 2 (Possibly Important)
- Shang Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings
- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3
- Captain America: Brave New World
- Thor: Love and Thunder
- Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
- The Marvels

Tier 3 (Least Important)
- Eternals
- Black Widow

Now this list isn't based on quality, but rather based likely on what is most needed to watch in order to set the context for Doomsday. As for TV series, all seasons of Loki could be pretty clutch. Feel free to throw in alterations to my list if need be.

As far as all Marvel TV series go, I remember S1 being above average and S2 being below average. Along with the Roxxon stuff in it as well as its crossover with The Runaways, there actually is some interesting tie-ins to Wonder-Man, particularly the Doorman episode.

Thanks. If this is even close, I’m in pretty good shape. I need to watch Fantastic Four (and I knew I’d have to with that one). I’ve seen all the others except The Marvels, and I’m not sure I will. I’ve just heard it’s awful, so not sure I can do it.

The Marvels is awful, but there is a few things with tears in space and particularly with its post-credit scene that likely will tie-in. If anything, I would at least watch the post-credits scene.

Hulu was originally a 4-way venture between Fox, Disney, NBCUniversal, and maybe Time-Warner. used to be one of the better deals for watching next day live air shows on 3 of the 4 major broadcast networks. You used to be able to watch a ton of stuff for free too, but they moved the free option for next day stuff to 8 days after air date. In fact, that was the whole reason I ended up subscribing years ago.

I missed an episode of Agents of SHIELD during season 1 right about the time Winter Soldier was released, and that was the one time the show was heavily affected by movie events. I don't think I even went to Winter Solider in the theater, so I delayed watching the end of S1 until Winter Solider released for home video. Didn't want to have that for S2, so I paid for Hulu. The connection between the AoS and the greater MCU lessened over time, and I only remember one direct tie-in to Age of Ultron and something with the opening of Infinity War.

Over time, Disney acquired the whole thing by acquiring Fox and buying out the other two. It is supposed to fully merge into Disney+ either later this year or early next and discontinue the Hulu standalone app. Just this last week I was given the option to merge my Hulu queue and continue watching onto my D+ account, so the merger is coming.

Take out the stupid song and dance number and I didn't hate it. I've probably rewatched it more times than Quantumania.
