Ian Happ just cannot be in the top half of the lineup. There is not a guy I want up less than him when runners are on
It's not just the Cubs, but seems like modern players are OK to strike out. So many players seem to be looking for "a pitch" with 2 strikes and watch very hitable 3rd strikes. Don't know if it's a function of velocity, where hitters time for 91 vs. 97.

On that one, Happ looked like he gave up on pitch as inside & then late action brought it back over plate.

Brewers get it, load up on young power arms.

Feels like the house of cards is collapsing. Hard to stay even keeled when this teams flips from unstoppable to losing everything in sight.

Just gotta figure out how to get about 40 runners in scoring position to get back into this

Feels like Milwaukee comes into these games and just want it more. Unbelievable that the cubs will have two seperate 10 game winning streaks before June and will be out of the division lead by the end of the week

Brewers loaded with guys that put it in play and work at bats plus arms…teams should be throwing the bank at front office guys for the Rays and Brewers.

Cubs have I don’t know how much more to spend than the brewers but a ton but look for more slugging, but also don’t fully commit to premium guys…recipe for not being elite.

Correct. Cubs don’t really get up for meaningful games.

I should know better, but I constantly HOPE when approaching important series like this that the Cubs would not only show up, but rise to the occasion. I LOVE the 10 game win streaks, but games like this are depressing.

I was half listening to the Rays vs. O's game B4 the Cubs. If I heard correctly, the Rays payroll is $89M. Crazy that Rays have best record in baseball.

Maybe Iowa State has hope.

As far as hitting goes, the Brewers seem to make solid line drive contact. Consistent, hard contact. Whereas, the Cubs are launch angle focused. All-or-nothing approach.

Well I guess the only good thing about that 1st inning was made him throw 26 pitches.

Pat Murphy is playing chess against Counsell’s checkers. The Brewers are so much better at situational baseball and seem to have a much higher IQ with the game. Maybe we should have hired Murphy.

I hate that. If the call stands you shouldn’t lose your challenge. They are admitting they don’t know. Why should the team challenging be penalized?
