Is Vet Med parking difficult to get in/out of.

I have heard the "emergency inaccessibility" reason before, and I do not buy it. There are few home off of 16th from University to Grand, and if there was an emergency situation, they could stop traffic to allow personal down there. The city just does not want to mess with it for some reason, and use the need for emergency accessibility as their response.
I bet close to 1k people live on that road... Not to mention Uber and other pickup vehicles. Also what if there is an emergency in one of the lots/stadium? I remember the fatal heart attack in the D lots post game 5-6 years ago.

I parked out there many years ago for a couple of games. At that time it was a bunch of late 20s to 30s who liked to tailgate afterwards and many seemed to end up getting naked. It was more entertaining to stick around than it was to leave rhen.

Emergency vehicles are not going to be using 16th street to get to lots by the stadium. Outside of the trailer court, the other apartments can be reached by going further down Grand. We would only be talking an hour here after the ballgame. I would think that would be very doable.

I live in the Cedar Rapids area and it takes me longer to get out of VetMed and on to Hwy 30 than once I reach Hwy 30 to get home. I agree with 1SEIACLONE, they should have all lanes on University going toward 30 at the end of games. Having to go down 16th into that strangler before reaching Duff is painful. To save time I continue going east almost to Nevada before going over to hit 30.

It’s worse to get in and out of than C1/C2.

Just from my experiences but C1/C2 might be the easy lot to get out of.

Maybe in 15 to 20 years at the speed of road projects in Ames....
See the Schainker Park project. Is this like year four for this project? I also wonder how Con-Struct seems to get the the majority of the road projects in Ames.
