Were you wearing shoes though?I would take that with a grain of salt. I saw him during the season (not next to, but maybe 10-15 feet away) and I would say a true 6'5". I don't know, I could be wrong (frequently am).

Is that good? It seems this would be good. With the Davis commitment Iowa State’s 2027 class moves to #1 in the country per 247. Still in the mix for Baboucarr Ann and Jack Kohnen to round out the class.
Harrington is listed as a shooting guard in recruiting circlesFor those who've followed them in high school, will Davis and Harrington both play as small forwards? How similar are their games?
IMO Harrington is a 2/3 depending on lineup. Perimeter oriented. For those who've followed them in high school, will Davis and Harrington both play as small forwards? How similar are their games?
The attention now shifts to Jack Kohnen, prioritized over Ann. Iowa wants him bad but it's really a two horse race between us and NebraskaWith the Davis commitment Iowa State’s 2027 class moves to #1 in the country per 247. Still in the mix for Baboucarr Ann and Jack Kohnen to round out the class.
Good to know. Kohnen would be great and he's got a brother in the class of 2028 that we've offered as well. The attention now shifts to Jack Kohnen, prioritized over Ann. Iowa wants him bad but it's really a two horse race between us and Nebraska
Seems like the opposite to me.The attention now shifts to Jack Kohnen, prioritized over Ann. Iowa wants him bad but it's really a two horse race between us and Nebraska
A bit surprising if true. The attention now shifts to Jack Kohnen, prioritized over Ann. Iowa wants him bad but it's really a two horse race between us and Nebraska

Clearly they both look like great prospects. I think Kohnen is regarded as the better shooter? Interesting his brother in 2028 class is similar prospect, 6’5” wing
Take 'em all...apologize later.I didn’t know if both Ann and Kohnen would be prioritized as takes alongside four high school recruits similar to the 2026 class. Rivals and On3 both list Ann as a 6'5" PG and Kohnen as a 6'5" SF, so they appear to project at different positions across the recruiting sites. We also have over a one-year head start recruiting Kohnen compared to Nebraska, which seemed to work out well in Davis’s recruitment. I could totally be wrong, and it may end up being more of an either/or situation rather than taking both guys. Either way, the 2027 class is probably going to finish in the Top 10.

Freddy Hoiberg has to be pitching him on the Pryce Sandfort role. Will be tough to compete against. The more I watch of Kohnen the more I like his game. Really big 2/3 guard at 6'6". His jumper is pure. Seems like a really humble and well-spoken kid listening to his interviews. Don't hate that his little brother Joey is the #1 recruit in the state of WI for 2028 either.
As a college basketball fan one of my favorite teams ever was that 2019 TTech squad that lost to Virginia in the national title game. They played big physical guards and a bit undersized/tough/athletic/versatile posts. That resulted in all five players between 6'5" and 6"8 the vast majority of the time. Switch everything defense at all positions. It was an absolute nightmare to go up against and they finished #1 KenPom defense by a wide margin.
Perhaps TJ is building something similar here. Wiggins, Harrington, Davis, Kohnen brothers all seem to fit that profile. Yusef Gray Jr is a really big physical point.
