While I was in HS, we had a teacher have varying levels of sexual relations with 4 (reported) students and I know of at least 2 more that didn’t get reported.

Guy that was a few years older than me, that I’m not very close with but I have a friend that is, is still messed up from it 15+ years later. He’s a very normal dude with everything else but I guess still thinks they were/are in love and can’t hold any relationship now. Just what I’ve heard, I haven’t talked to him in 10+ years.

Two of the others were pretty good friends of mine, one never wanted to talk about it and got very angry if anyone brought it up, also went to a therapist longer than he was required to. He is totally fine now and has a wife and kids. The other was very proud of it and wasn’t shy of sharing details.

So I guess what I’m trying to say… I totally understand your thinking but I personally know of two people that got pretty messed up from having sex with a teacher, so it does happen

Depends a little bit, do you view a 'teacher mommy issues' fetish as "trauma"?

It wouldn't happen in every circumstance, but there's definitely opportunity for future therapy needs from these sorts of things.

So if a male teacher is having sex with a 16 year old, as long as the 16 year old was okay with it and not traumatized, it’s all good? Just trying to follow along here.

I think they need more clarification. Is it a male teacher and a male student? Or a male teacher and a female student. Because the male student they must be ok with because of their body of work on this perversion.

No, it wrong and we all agree the person should be going to jail, but we also don't think most of the these students that are older are scarred for life because as a 17 year old they were sleeping with the 23 year old hot teacher, anymore than if the 17 year old had an older boy friend in college that they were sleeping with.

I have seen junior and senior girls throwing themselves at the good lucking young male teachers more than once, it's also a two way street. It's not right, but it's happening in every school setting.

What a rough way to find out your wife has been cheating on you. I can't imagine after seeing how many people have been busted doing this and yet they keep doing it.

The Haley Beck one is really bad. They are releasing all of her texts. If getting caught hooking up with a student was not bad enough, the texts she was sending them have to make her want to not live anymore. They are so embarrassing.
