Absolutely insane that Drake Ayala brings out some of these people that almost never post to rip him. I wonder if Drake beat them, or their kid, or what the true reasoning is here.

I thought the same thing, I mean for the most part the same guys comment on things and since this Ayala rumor has come about there’s a ton of newbs b*tching about it on here.

I will say that I was happy with the KD hire because he had a proven track record. Then came Zaddick which I hated.(couldn't stand the sideline antics) thankfully he was let go.
Then Metcalf,St.john. and i was araid all we were going to see was boring Hawk style push,pull,snap with an ocasional highC. I was wrong,our guys show far more offense than the TOE. All that being said it would still be nice to add someone from outside that room.
Love the Cycloes and will continue to support the team and staff regardless.

Was very surprised/ excited to see the coaching change and if dresser is great with booster and metcalf can get the program to the next level then I will give pollard props. Wish we could’ve got reader for an assistant before he got out of the game. Isu kid and hard nosed

This is laughable...so let me get this straight...... pollard pushed Bobby out to put Cael in, only to NOT support cael, so he leaves and cleans house taking his top recruits to psu, then brings in jackson to yet again, not support the program and limits and binds jackson's hands to be successful. Then he decides to throw a bunch of money at kd and gives them everything they want, now pollard throws even more money at coaches that have underperformed every year and after 10 years in the saddle still only had one ncaa champion. despite seeing that the hawkeye system is slowly showing its true colors ia state just hires a full hawkeye staff. nothing new, same ol same ol. well at least the whole state will be consistent and easy to pick apart. brands, dougie and the guy that used jack off motions to say fu to the cyclone crowd now leads the helm at ia state. all in gable's plan..... the irony hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah.

Didn’t realize Drake was looking to get into coaching ASAP and wasn’t planning to compete after college.

In all seriousness I would've preferred Gilman, but seems that drake is well respected and ive always liked watching him so hope he can give our lightweight a lift on the mat and boost our recruiting.

Homerun hire. The guy brings it all. Smart, likable, talented, hard-working and humble. Relatable to recruits and someone a parent is confident will set an outstanding example for their kid. Drake has great connections with Sebolt and others in state. Fit the need perfectly. I think ISU got a great one.
