••• 2026 Official Chicago Cubs Thread •••

Another series won, now lets get the Sweep tomorrow.

Also, we have the tie-breaker on the Phillies if it matters come Playoff Seedings time. The Phils will need to start playing a lot better though.

Can you imagine how good this team would look with a healthy Steele, Horton and Palencia? Still, this sure looks like a playoff team, and that's good enough for me in April.

The game on FS1 they said PCA is statistically the worst hitter in baseball since last August.
With a 3-hit game, PCA has his average up to a much-more respectable 247. If PCA hits 250 with 25-ish HRs for a full season, he's a 5 WAR contributor thanks to his D and baserunning, I'll take that all day long, "worst hitter" or not. LOL.

I know it’s been brought up in here (rarely post in this thread, though I do lurk), but it’s worth mentioning again. The only division in baseball where every team is over .500. I know it’s early, very early, but still enough of a sample size for that to be an incredible statement.

Will have 2 of the 3 back at some point this season. Just how healthy and effective they can be is the bigger question.

It is amazing that with all the pitching injuries that have piled up how good the pitching still has been. Cubs are currently 4th in MLB for team ERA and WHIP, 6th in OBA, and an impressive 3rd for total walks

3rd hit was weak. Besides that, double to the wall in center and a 98 mph line drive to left center. Good enough for me.
He’s still pulling off of pitches. Sometimes the ball finds the bat. Dave Kingman hit 40+ dingers hitting around .200 with a ton of strikeouts. PCA hits a lot of pop ups to swallow left. He trying to pull everything thus pulling off pitches over the heart of the plate.
