They did. she wanted to stay in the Midwest too. Wisconsin makes sense especially since they are apparently spending a bunch of money
Her parents moved here I guess so home is now the Midwest.
Yes her brother plays at Grinnell College. He will be a senior there next year.
Deal is dating an Iowa FB player. She didn't want to go far. On top of that, she did not get the kind of suitors she wanted. Tennessee, Clemson, Wisconsin are all pretty desperate.
People didn't want to pay her asking price. She is still a developmental project but wants to be paid like a starter (Jan wouldn’t either, that's a big reason why she left -- it was also becoming clear that she was likely to be the 7th player in the rotation next year. At WI she may be #1).
Sophomore Mallegni likely to commit there as well -- going home after also underwhelming at Iowa and a recent tragedy. They’re both in for a rude awakening with regard to that coach, who was hired under shady circumstances after getting fired at MO — something fans wanted for a long time.

Don't mean to be butthead, or stickler, but I lived in Grinnell and it and the college both have two "Ls." Don't want you to appear less than your best.
I feel like we are in desperation mode at this point. The most recent social media post with Hannah Belanger seems like a cry to help for me.
Will say, Hannah was a great find in the portal and fit our team well. Glad she chose to be a Cyclone.
I personally need to see some good adds to the roster. Yes I am aware there are MANY players out there, but we haven’t added any splashes compared to other schools.

I was just looking at On3 30 minutes ago and they don’t have Tanke linked with Nevada. Do you a subscription which provides more current info? You have no reason to make this up - I’m just looking for more info.
Nevada wasn’t very good last year and their new coach is from the HS / Club Basketball ranks - interesting hire - Nevada alum with no college coaching experience.
When I go to the site I get the list of players in the portal by school and when I get to ISU it shows who has chosen a new school
Not desperation, not yet, but get into mid-May things will be different. There are a lot available. Belanger was loved here, and she was great. Hannah had only one D-1 offer though it was from Iowa State in late March.
