While that may be true, it doesn’t mean he and others hadn’t been contacted.

Are you new to the NCAA? There are no rules. If it doesn’t break federal law, you’re good. State law is hit or miss depending on which side of the Mason Dixon line you’re on.
The way I understand it, schools and players can't contact those not in the portal but the players' agents can talk to anybody about anything.

Big time. I know some guys see him as a stretch 4 but I don’t really see that, I think he’s a true 5 with his foot speed. If he is able to develop a 3, I think he turns more into a Hunter Dickinson type. Able to set a screen and roll to the basket or pick and pop a 3.

Would love to see Pleta step out and hit some 10-15 foot jumpers next year to keep defenses honest. A bonus would be to hit a wide open top of the key 3 now and then too. That would add another dimension to our offense if we had a 5 running the high post that could make defenses pay for leaving them wide open at that range.

There are lots of ways to have indirect conversations with players. There always have been.
I’m just glad we landed five players from the portal the first weekend they visited after being in the portal 4 days. We are so lucky that way.
