I am just still pumped about basketball and where we are as a program so I went and checked out the best of 5 year stretches with us and this is what I came up with. It's not even close, which is amazing.

97-01 should probably be in this list. 3 amazing years and 2 awful years.

Fantastic debate for 2nd best 5 year stretch.

IMO 22-26’ is overall best especially as a team as a whole and coaching and consistency.

12-16’ had the most nba guys and would be the closest to 22-26’ groups. Very talented offensive teams and exact opposite defensively.

00-04’ deepest run in the tournament and a couple b12 championships and obviously talented but only a couple years in there

It's the consistency for me. Staying in the Top 25 (and Top 10 for that matter) for that long is seriously impressive in an era where you can blink and entire rosters for contenders and non contenders alike are completely unrecognizable from the previous season.

Absolutely agree. That’s the big thing that separates TJ era. It starts with TJ establishing that he is a cyclone and only a cyclone. Loved Hoiball but can you imagine him trying to retain players when we never even knew if he would be back himself

As far as the modern era, I would say 11-15 (12-16?). Coming off the McDermott era and bringing the program back to relevancy. Established the NBA ‘pipeline’, bring the Magic back to Hilton, and even setting up Steve Prohm to have initial success.
