**** Official 2026 MBB Spring Transfer Portal Thread ****

I mean… it’s pretty close.
I'm not paying Milan money for a 6'7" PF who can't shoot. Not to mention Milan is essentially a 6'8" 3 who can post up a smaller defender while Punch is an undersized 4 who will struggle against bigger competent bigs. I'd much rather have Milan than a slightly more offensively gifted but smaller Blake Buchanon...

Otz planning for Milan to be gone is what this tells me
You think that the solution to losing the countries best shooter is this dude from Robert Morris?

Lol no. If we dont have Milan, and for the record there has been 0 indication that we wont, TJ will look MUCH higher than Robert ******* Morris

Sorry but this is wrong. We'll look to replace Milan by committee not with another $3M new player in the portal

Interesting name - would seem to fit the "Heise roll" and be redundant with Trevian Carson from NDSU.

He redshirted and played 1 year at Akron, then 2 at Robert Morris. He's from Maryland, so its not obvious there's any specific connection to the current staff. He should have 1 year of eligibility left.

He's listed at 6'5" 205#, so a big bodied guard - that's pretty similar to Heise size.

He had a huge leap at Robert Morris this last year, shooting 37% from 3 on almost 7 attempts per game. He had a very good assist rate and a VERY good assist to turnover rate (120 assists, 27 turnovers).

Based on stats he's not a dominant defensive player (rebounding, steals, etc).

Maybe the best thing - he shot 85% from the FT line this year!!
Encouraging stats in several areas.

Good thing about high FT% is, it isn't dependent on level of competition.

Its not wrong. Whether we are replacing Milan with one or multiple, sights will be set higher
Possibly, but there are only 88 D1 players last year with 220 or more 3 point attempts. Of those with 220 or more attempts, Ryan Prather Jr was 33rd in percentage makes.

That's right around top 1/3 in the country amongst the high volume shooters and in the 99th percentile of D1 men's basketball players

Idk…. But I don’t see Milan in any of the mock drafts 2 rounds.
So,…. Is he demanding more money than we can pay? Or is he really thinking of taking money from one of those schools tampering with him . I thought he said he was coming back.

Really like 36.8% from 3 at 6.9/game and 84.7% FT shooting on 2.6/game
Not necessarily. He can play off guard coming off the bench, especially with his assist to turnover ratio.

While probable I don't think getting 3 players to replace 1 makes any sense. TJ plays 8 guys in rotation. If that is already commited returning: Toure, Bateman, Pleta, Buchanan.
NIL money is already allocated to 3 other rotational transfers. For example: Manning, Singleton, Prather.
With the Momcilovic situation he either is #8 with his own $2-3mil or that money should be spent on someone of or close to talent equivalent.
Im not sure if see a great path for the incoming freshman to get minutes outside of the noncon games

Maybe TJ won't have to tell him every time he sees him to shoot the ball, be more aggressive.

He's still an upgraded Heise on the offensive end and I don't even need to watch any of his games to know he can't defend as well as Heise.

If you're gonna replace Milan, you're gonna do it with 1 or 2 guys that show they have the ability to score 20 points a night. Averaging 8 points or whatever this kid did at Robert Morris ain't one of those guys.

He's in a few mock drafts out there that may not be your ESPNs and Yahoos. Tankathon has him #53 to the Warriors (Jefferson #31). Not a mock but Jeremy Woo from ESPN has Milan at #43 on his big board. NBA Draft Net has him at #29 to the Spurs. Actually ahead of Jefferson.

For the record, he averaged 15.7 per game at Robert Morris

Yeah, I see that now. My mistake. I might have had his sophomore year numbers in my head. Or I could just be telling stories. I still stand by my thoughts though.

Not sure what to take from this other than you have to be good in the half court offense in 3x3.
