**** Official 2026 MBB Spring Transfer Portal Thread ****

I bet it's either uni or San Diego. I imagine it's really helpful as a new coach to have at least one guy who knows exactly how things are done in your program.
UNI is nice and all, but it would be really hard to say no to San Diego if offered. That video of Blount touring the facilities looked pretty nice to me.

Yes, but why haven’t they ever really been successful? Sort of a mystery. You would think Steve Lavin would have won there.

University of San Diego is one if the nicest campuses in the country. Absolutely pristine.

I distinctly remember watching that game thinking “that kid belongs at a higher level”. Apparently Blount thought that too!
Same here. Honestly surprised he didn’t go to a higher level, but maybe he will after he show cases at San Diego

That is the fact. He did his good game against Florida. Then played like 5 minutes in the second half against Illinois. Very strange player.
Classic tweener. His role at a good P5 is what we saw at Iowa this year. He will either transfer back down or go to a P5 for a bag with a coach on the hot seat imo.

The fact we won't know on (millions) Milan until after the portal is just another cog in this great college sports machine
If we mess around, we'll be the one without a chair when the music stops. I wonder if it wouldn't be best to just move on and pick up what's available, now.

The best shooter in America with 3 years knowledge of our system is worth waiting a couple weeks for. There are other kids testing the NBA waters that are in the portal, so worst case scenario, there should be a player with pro potential available if Milan makes the jump.

Agreed, it could be advantageous to be one of the last teams left with a decent offer and a roster spot for one of the late deciders in the transfer portal.
