So basically guys that are having trouble getting a spot here. More power to them. If I wasn’t able to win a spot, wrestling can’t be that fun to practice just to practice.

Yep. Terukina, Redding, Schon, and Carroll (to the portal last year) all found starting spots at other schools, and qualified for the NCAAs.

Lorenzo Norman from Stanford. Beat MJ and Pat Kennedy in an Iowa road swing two years ago at the beginning of the season.

I was under the assumption that Garvin would want to go 174 next year which wouldn’t fit for us, but he must be willing to go 165 again.

We’d want Norman for 184 for sure.

I could see a world where Dresser lets them both wrestle off for 174, with the loser having the option to drop to 165 or go up to 184 and compete there. It’s not like MJ is a big 174…

I’ve seen the MJ to 165 attempt before, I’d much rather have Garvin at 165 for one more year then bump up after MJ graduates

That is what I was told earlier in the day via what was seen in the portal. If I am wrong I’m happy to recant but that’s what I was told by someone who has access :/

Yeah, that would be massive news if it’s true. It’s not on Flo yet but that would blow.

Another reason to not redshirt the top recruits if they’re ready to go. They can leave at any time
