**** Official 2026 MBB Spring Transfer Portal Thread ****

Anybody else think Batemon will make a huge jump next year? I wouldn’t be shocked if he is scoring 15-17 ppg next year.
He'll improve next year. HIs shot is already good, just needs to be better at judging his drives to the hoop. In the last 5 or so games, he ended up just throwing the ball up at the board on his drives. A bit more strength will help that a bit but he just needs to slow down a bit before committing to driving the lane.

Team was kind of outmatched a bit. Long, lanky, will be a defensive guy at first. Probably needs a year before he really contributes but has talent. Got into foul trouble early.

My comparison would be Jameel Mckay
Yeah, not good this game. Did have 19pts in the previous game

I watched a lot of WCC ball this year as my kid goes to a school on the West Coast. One of the sleepers I think coming out is this kid Hammond out of Santa Clara. Absolutely great shooter and was six man of the year. Total hustler good ball skills.

Spire looks to run similar offense and defense as us so that will help him. Like Killyan, he has a great attitude on the court. Quick to get off the ground for dunks and blocks. Very fluid in his movement. Not overly physical but does track the ball well for rebounding. Did some things on both offensive and defense where you wish he would be more aggressive but nothing he won't learn at Iowa State. Hope he can learn the 4 position!

No surprise here

Not trying to be the "We didn't want him anyway" guy and think that is a really nice commit for Iowa. I would have been pumped if he was a Cyclone.

However, rumor on the street is there were perhaps some bridges burned there when Christian Wiggins committed and we stopped recruiting Coon.

Josiah Harrington coming in 2027 as well.

That 2-3 position in good hands in the next couple recruiting cycles for us.

I’d hate to see what you thought of Lipsey’s first year. FYI, Lipsey averaged 2.5 turnovers/game, Toure averaged 1.7 and played 3 more minutes per game.
I see so many comments about free throw shooting. If we shot 75% instead of 67.5% we would have scored 58 more points, less than 2 pts per game. Although free throws are important we might have won one more game. It is all about who is shooting them and when then are made.

All I care is that we got our guy

Bridges burned may be a little strong. TJ has always been upfront when it comes to recruiting by position. We have one scholarship available at your position and have two offers out so first commit gets it.

Stopped recruiting him and we’re going hard after better players. Donavan Davis and Boubacarr Ann
