That and his insistence to have no one attempt to rebound on our free throws are part of his strange defensive plan. Its strange to see him stick to it so hard seeing as we've sucked on defense for years.

It also seems like there is zero help when someone drives on us. It's just night and day compared to the men's team. I know the men's game vs the women's game are two completely different styles of playing ball, but it seems like they are ignoring some very basic principles to playing defense.
It's only one example, but there was a situation in the Syracuse game that highlighted our rebounding strategy in a very bad way. We were on defense. A rebound came off the weak side. Beaty was near the top of the block when the ball hit the floor and the only person in a position to grab the weak side rebound. But her instinct was to sprint to be on offense.
So instead of getting an easy rebound, a Syracuse player grabbed the ball and scored an easy two points.
Checking the tracker, Lexi’s little sister is there with 2 years remaining. And none of the other Iowa schools have anyone yet (and if your men’s team is still playing, why would you not just wait to say it?)
And with that, every (currently) returning player is a senior next season.
Addy still the only one of the six that will be tough to replace. Could probably replace the the other five with one player if NIL is used properly

If you haven’t watched Williams and Blum today…they hit the nail on the head concerning women’s basketball.
I concur. Pretty good objective discussion about the current state of the WBB program and the future.
Why would a transfer want to come here? As it stands now we have 6 returning seniors who all got minutes and a lame duck coach. If your an underclassmen you wouldn’t unless you love Iowa State because of the looming coaching change. If your an are a senior, do you want to compete with 6 holdover seniors for playing time.
