JJeff Injury Updates

I think we got to look at the positives & be thankful for them

For example…

Thankfully JJ isn’t a horse. You think it was tough watching the replay and seeing TJ’s emotion on the sidelines…

Now imagine TJ having to walk down there with his rifle and put JJ down.

That would have been really devastating.

That’s really all the positive thoughts I’ve got right now.
This is the funniest thing I’ve read on the interweb machine this year

Well if TJ went this route we'd know JJ isn't playing Sunday for sure at least.

Can we stop for a second and recognize that us common folk are probably not getting the therapy and medical treatment a college athlete rushing back to play in the (potentially) Sweet 16 will get? He’s going to be getting treatment on that bad boy 24/7 and they’ll have it good and numbed up. If we won Sunday and actually be surprised if he doesn’t give us 15 min next week. But who knows.
Honestly there isn’t much you would get different to speed up your treatment that would make a meaningful difference.

What is different is the therapy that can be offered to allow a player to play a game with a lower degree of pain than the average person. That doesn’t mean the injury has gone away it just means the pain is being managed that as long as the injury isn’t hampering function that it can work for a short term. It can also make the injury worse

I love all of you that had an ankle sprain in high school 15 years ago.

I have my doubts we see Jefferson play again for us, but he’s going to get better treatment than any of you guys did playing for a 1A school in Iowa. It’s a dumb comparison.
Nobody says they know he'll be back. Just saying those who say he is definitely out are full of it. He may be unable to come back or he might. Each person and injury is different.

The fact the head trainer is even entertaining talk about possible availability for Sunday is a great sign. 99.9% certain he will be in a boot on Sunday. I'm just hopeful for next week. Jefferson wired a bit differently I'm sure. His Dad played in the NFL in the 90's-00's. I'm sure he knows a thing or two about playing through an injury.

If I'm an NBA GM, and Jefferson throws his team on his back to get to a Final 4 on a hobbled ankle, guy is skyrocketing up my board.

6 shots of Wild Turkey and a beer chaser...now get out there Joshua and kick ass!

1 advantage if JJ doesn't play or is severely limited it changes our whole offense. Milan at the 4 and we play 4 out and 1 in. More focused on 3pt shooting but opens up lanes to the hoop.

Cue the defibrillator, aka Colonel Nathan R Jessup.

Agreed. I doubt we score 108 points today with the offense running through JJeff. Of course, the flip side is that if we're not hitting shots AND we're missing him, we're really going to...miss him.
