***Official 2026 NCAA Tournament Thread***

I would honestly rather play Kentucky. SC would be playing with house money against us and Kentucky kind of is who they are. They don't handle the ball particularly well and aren't very disciplined. I think we can force them into turnovers and bad shot selections.
I think the adjustment for Kentucky after playing SC is greater than for SC after playing Kentucky. ISUs defense is going to shock UK the game after playing SC. i dont think SC would be a shocked after playing KU 2 days earlier.

same old story... Kentucky has more talent, but Santa Clara is the "better team". so it's tough to say?
It sucks that Kentucky won. Ya never want to play the more talented team, where they will have a **** ton of fans, a ton of momentum, and a coach that has proven to successfully game plan against TJ. It will be a battle.

Goddamn seeing that last second replay- insane of SC to let him get THAT shot off.

You basically need to foul in the back court to be safe, but they got up the court so quickly.
Refs are absolutely not calling for 3 FTs on the foul unless it's completely obvious. Any gray and they're not calling a shooting foul.

Kentucky is "undisciplined" for sure but they also just don't look that good. Like they have some talent for sure, everyone in this tourney does except the low-major tourney champs who got hot, but if I didn't know better I'd never guess this is the most expensive roster in the country by a wide margin.
they are a 9 or 10 seed without a blueblood name on their jerseys.

Have to feel for Santa Clara, hit what should've been a dagger three to only have Oweh hit a halfcourt heave to send it to OT. Big Oof.

This UK team does not have the shotmakers his BYU teams did.
This is a fact. I've seen a couple of posters mention Pope at BYU as a problem for us. He was only there one season with them in the Big 12, where they were 1-1 against us by the way and only scored 63 in one of those games. Completely different types of players on that BYU squad compared to this Kentucky team.
